I got into this argument with a high school friend of mine. She stayed in Texas and I moved. Right now I'm in San Francisco and all of my friends are employed. (Maybe not all of my classmates, but my professional, adult friends are all employed.)

We had at least one person a day drop off their application and resume, though, at my old job. We had so many people coming in that we could be picky when we needed a new hire.

With that said, there are a lot of vacant store fronts in the Castro. Injeanous (In*Jean*Ous?) closed last month and the old Wolf Camera on the corner of 18th and Castro is still closed. A restaurant is moving in, but hasn't happened yet.

Then you still have people like Les who owns prime real estate (the Patio Cafe) who won't open it. It's ready to open but he won't rent the space out cause he's a cranky old man.

What I'm saying is, the San Francisco economy is doing fine. There are jobs and money to go around. Minimum wage is also at its highest. $10.24.

So, people like Jim and my friends back home can yell and say what an awful thing Obama is doing, but things are better here than they've ever been. TEAM OBAMA!

Obama wants to borrow another half billion dollars to give to Egypt. When is America going to stop funding its enemies? We need a change in the White House, and I pray the American people will make that happen.
