So what? Personally, MUCH rather see that than a cross or a nativity scene.

Che's image has been so commercialized, it's almost meaningless. If he knew his face was on t-shirts and posters and bags and any number of products, he'd set the whole place on fire. He's a symbol of youthful rebellion, in the same category as Jim Morrison, John Lennon or any other person whose face is on stuff you can buy in Times Square.

I can't play the content on my office computer but it's a Fox report and I'm assuming you just see it in the background? Has anyone watched it? I'd guess a volunteer hung it for some reason and wonder if Obama has even visited the Houston office?

It's chapter 4,567 in the smearing of whoever the Democrats nominate.

after seeing the footage and reading more about it a little online i'm fairly dissapointed... i hope this is just something that obama is completely unaware of (which i'm sure is the case). it might be easy for some of you to joke around about che, but as a cuban american myself, who's parents AND grandparents lost everything during castro's revolution and had to start from scratch here in the US in the early 60's, its not much of a joking matter to me.

mamie, thats how i feel too... also its interesting that all the websites online that are running the story seem to be extreme right-wing conservative publications. i havent seen it mentioned on CNN, or MSNBC or even FoxNews.

either way it was video footage and it was for a local fox station so theres no reason it cant be real... i just want to hear the official explanation first.

i've been working so hard to convince my grandparents and parents that they should vote for obama... if they get any wind of this story all my hard work will be wasted! haha

Pab I understand your discomfort with images of Che-in your siutation who wouldn't be? But in fact, his image has become completely disassociated from his reality- the point I was trying to make when I posted those pictures. I would bet that 99% of kids who wear or post his picture have NO IDEA who he was or what he did.

CubanPab, now that you've made that disclosure I have to admit that I've wanted to ask you for some time now if your parents are enthused about your endorsement of a Democrat in this election cycle. I'm acquainted with several 40+ yr old Miami-based Cuban Americans who still won't cross that line. Feel free to PM me if you'd feel more comfortable responding via that means.
