"I would STRONGLY question anything appearing only on a FOX report or being passed down via Goth."

Mamie, sorry that you have become a hater like so many others.

And for the rest of you, Hillary has actually said that Fox has treated her campaign better than MSNBC.

I don't hate anyone. I just question things I hear from snake oil salesmen and zealots. The first have greed behind the things they say and the second have demagoguery bending their words. There may be a truth behind each of them - but I have to do some digging to find it for myself.

Goth, Fox would NEVER lie or distort to smear politicians they do not like. To imply otherwise is simply wrong.

NEVER. That would be a violation of their sacred responsibility as a broadcaster.

In fact, Fox's accuracy is undisputed. They are America's Most Trusted News Source.

I'm so sick of Cuban expats holding the politics of this country hostage.

There, I said it.

And while you're digging you have no problems casting insults at other people.

re: Obama's Office Flies Che Flag

Joe i wasnt offended by your posts... :) no worries. i was just commenting on the fact that i have met many people in the past who are shocked by my feelings about Che. they usually dont think he was that bad of a guy or dont know anything about him and are confused about why it would affect me negatively or rile me up.

my grandparents (both college graduates in cuba) came to the USA in 61 with nothing (they came by plane, so no rafter jokes! hahaha). both highly educated people starting from scratch, they lost it all. all they have to remind them of their country are a few photographs and their memories. they LOVE LOVE LOVE america. they love that they came here with nothing and were able to become successful business people again. they are very well off, as are my parents (college graduates here in the USA). They attribute all their success to the opportunities the USA offered them. They are grateful to the USA, and they wish they could see their Cuba again, but they still talk freely about "those days" and what they remember. My grandfather remembers the day he tried to go to class at the university and it was closed. He remembers when the government took away his first small business. I learned all about Che not just from the history books, but from those who lived it. and i completely understand why they're so apprehensive and scared by democrats that are as liberal as Obama... they automatically fear "socialism"... i get it. i know they shouldnt be scared, you know they shouldnt be scared, but they are! its hard. they're old. it still stings for them. Its fresh in their mind.

to javero - no my parents arent exactly thrilled about me being a democrat. in fact, they're downright disappointed... but like i said above, they equate being a democrat with being "too liberal". and its harder for them to accept... even worse for my grandparents... i'd say most Cuban-Americans, especially those from Miami, would definitely NOT be democrats. lol.

findingnamo - I cant tell if you were joking, if you were, then ok, if not, then whatever... good for you.

and to lildog - you may not think communism is "evil", but are you saying "it's not that bad"?

cubanpab, what was your opinion (and your family) on the Elian Gonzales situation?

re: Obama's Office Flies Che Flag

goth, discussing "elian" is just another pointless argument... i think the only way you can truly connect to that story was to have grown up a cuban-american yourself and seen the struggle of your own families. to understand everything they sacrificed to come to this country and seek freedom...

cuban-americans responded so strongly to elians story because his mother tried to escape castro's dictatorship and DIED in the process so that she could give her son freedom. they related to that because they went thru it themselves in some way. they wanted to see that little boy grow up with all the opportunities offered here... not become castro's poster child for communism... which he did. but whatever. i know nothing i say could change someone elses mind, i just know that for me as a cuban it was horrible watching my grandparents cry because they "didnt want that cute little boy to go back to castro and communist cuba".

but on to other topics please... :) it was much more fun to poke fun at FoxNews.

"The gods who nurse this universe think little of mortals' cares. They sit in crowds on exclusive clouds and laugh at our love affairs. I might have had a real romance if they'd given me a chance. I loved him, but he didn't love me. I wanted him, but he didn't want me. Then the gods had a spree and indulged in another whim. Now he loves me, but I don't love him." - Cole Porter

I'm going to go with "whatever" too Namo...

And don't worry about what I think, cuban...nobody else does. But I would like to float the suggestion that capitalism is as fraught with complexities and inequities as any other political system, communism included.

Back to the topic, just watch OUTFOXED...'nuff typed.
