While your questions certainly have validity, it does not seem that the administration is putting a great deal of effort into finding answers, since many of the witnesses appear to have been silenced. One of the most important questions to be answered may very well be, Where was the President the night of the attack and what was he doing? Why were orders given to "Stand down"? Why weren't efforts made to send in reinforcements? The answer tends to be "The reinforcements were several hours away". Yet the attack went on for nearly 7 hours. Regardless of whether the administration believes the Benghazi attack rises to the level of "scandal" , to refer to it as "phony" is disrespectful to the families of those who lost their lives. Of course, the President may not have even been thinking of the Benghazi attack when he used the term "phony scandals", which is why I think the question needs to be posed, "Which scandals do you consider to be phony, Mr. President?" My fear is that the present occupants of the White House press core may not ever ask that question of the President or his spokesperson.
I hope I am wrong, because I really would like to know.
