Posted: 8/23/09 at 4:26pmHey, I have auditions for the musical "Quilters" coming up and I am at a loss for an audition piece. I already found my monologue portion and I just need a song. The requirements say that it's a song of my choice so it can really be anything. I'm a mezzo soprano and I'm looking for a piece that will show that off and will show off my lower range as well. Any help?

If you are given that much freedom, sing a song you really love and do well in! You don't have to look for the next unknown "On My Own".
Auditors want you to do well and they want to enjoy your "performance". Sing what you love.
