While not that obscure, I will never forgive network executives for cancelling "Brooklyn Bridge". It was a great show.
I remember "Wait Til Your Father Gets Home." One episode had them going on vacation next to a nude beach.

Oh yes, Reginald, Second Hundred Years was a very good show.
Your name and pic reminds me... Some Brit shows I liked were No Honestly, Doctor in the House, and The Two Ronnies.

I was a big fan of THE NEW ADVENTURES OF MIGHTY MOUSE, which just came out on DVD, thank God. Genuinely irreverent, it took on superheroes, network TV executives, marketing professionals, and the history of animated TV series. Glorious.

"Nanny and the Professor"
"Apple's Way"
Loved both of these as well. I especially loved the house in Apple's Way.

"Relativity" on ABC in the mid-90s. Great show, great cast, great writing, but alas, it was on ABC so they never gave it a shot.
Cast included Kimberly Williams, David Conrad (now on "Ghost Whisperer"), Richard Schiff, Lisa Edelstein of "House", etc.

God, I loved New Adventures of Mighty Mouse (the precursor to Ren and Stimpy), Wait Till Your Father Gets Home and Freaks and Geeks. Anyone remember the Mighty Mouse episode that introduced Elwee and the Tree Weasels? Or how about Madame Marsupial?

And though it ran four seasons, Evening Shade certainly dropped into obscurity.

I beleive the New Adventures of Mighty Mouse was cancelled after an episode aired in which someone had a bouquet of flowers which they crumbled into dust, and then snorted up their nose, enabling them to fly. It was construed as a cocaine reference.
Of course, Ralph Bakshi (of Fritz the Cat fame) was in charge.

Stockard, I don't know if Love Boat counts as "obscure". It ran for ten years and has rarely been off the air since. Even Greatest American Hero is borderline since it ran for three seasons.
I loved Early Edition. I always thought it might be cool to know tomorrow's news today but trying to save everyone can take such a toll on you. Great show though. They kinda jumped the shark when he bought the bar.
I also remember Powers that Be. Tiffani (Amber) Theissan guested as an intern who wanted to be Monica Lewinsky before Monica Lewinksy did.
Wishbone was great. It really got my sister interested in classic literature.
I remember Fired Up and I think I remember High Society. Wasn't that the American version of Ab Fab with Jean Smart?
Out of This World was a great show too. To this day I want the power to freeze time. Get a few more hours of sleep, never be late for work. That sounds good to me. I worked with Maureen Flannigan (Evie) once and she was very nice. We had different opinions of the show Clubhouse though. I loved it because it was baseball in the winter and she thought it wasn't that good. I guess she was right because it didn't last a full season.

Posted: 2/9/10 at 12:24pmWe loved High Society...Jean Smart was a riot...but Mary McDonell was miscast. The AbFab humor didnt translate well either, but it was funny in it's own right...and Faith Prince was in it!

Yes. It wasn't great, but it had some funny moments. Fired Up starred Sharon Lawrence, Leah Remini and Mark Feuerstein and it was one of my favorites. It only ran two seasons, but I believe I have every episode on VHS. I think USA used to show the reruns.

Well, I can't blame you for that.
How about The Class? That show was HYSTERICAL. CBS should have kept it on the air.

Posted: 2/9/10 at 12:41pmThe Class was great! So was Out of Practice. I was shocked when they were both canceled.

Posted: 2/9/10 at 12:48pmOut of Practice was fun. One of my favorite moments was when Stockard Channing's little dog swallowed Henry Winkler's tiny cell phone. They're in a cab to the vet when you hear "Isn't it Romantic" coming from inside of the dog. Winkler's gf, played by Jennifer Tilly, was calling. Stockard wanted to know what her ring was and he wouldn't tell her. So she called the dog and you hear the Wicked Witch's theme from Wizard of Oz (the dodo dodo dodo). Hysterical.
