On cartoons I would say The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest. I always chuckle at the title as the people who rebooted the series could not do The New Adventures of Jonny Quest as it was already taken by a more obscure reboot that lasted 13 episodes. This went 52 episodes and I believe I watched all of them.
It was darker, the animation was nothing close to the original show, Jonny and Hadji were older but still teen adventurers, Dr. Quest had a touch of gray, Hadji's clothing was looser except the turban was still up on his head, Race Bannon's daughter Jessie was introduced as a character, and the stuff Dr. Quest took part in was heavy on the supernatural, yet this is 'the real adventures'. George Segal voiced Dr. Quest.

I loved Spot as a kid. Always loved watching the VHSs and looking at the books.
I also remember Beakman's World as well.
Also, I remember there was this other cartoon show that I used to watch, and all I remember is that it had a wooly mammoth and a kid in the show and it was a cartoon. And I believe it came on the same time when the Jumanji cartoon was on and when Sonic Underground was on.
EDIT: I found it!! Man, I haven't watched it in a looonng time, but it's called Cro. I used to watch this show a lot too.
Here's the show's opening sequence.

The Pruitts of Southhampton w Phyliss Diller
The Smothers Brothers Show ( sit com NOT variety hour)
I STILL know all the lyrics to the theme song.
Oh and Namo My Talk Show was created by my friend Deb McGrath and Kathy Laskey-. Deb played the "rich" b*tch who owned the local dinner theatre and gave herself the starring role in each production.
The pregnant Peter Pan she did on the show is still one of the funniest things I have ever seen.
"Did you "fly?"
"Well, just a couple of inches- you know- willng suspension of disbelief."

"Brothers", which aired on Showtime in the mid-to-late eighties.
"Joe Waters is an ex-place kicker for the Philadelphia Eagles. Now retired, he's opened up a restaurant. Lou is his older brother, a gruff construction worker. Both Joe and Lou receive the shock of their lives when their kid brother Cliff reveals that he's gay. Humorous situations follow as Joe and Lou alternately try to accept Cliff's homosexuality or cure him of it."

Not really obscure but I watched a lotta reruns of Burke's Law in my ewe-t.
We usta get a lot of really weird shows "shot in SuperMarionetation" Like Captain Scarlet and the Mysterions, and Thunderbirds and Fireball XLV.
We also got some shows that were big in England, I beacame a huge John Thaw fan from his work on "The Sweeney'.

Posted: 2/9/10 at 3:44amA lot of you have mentioned really great shows that I also love, but I'm embarrassed to admit that when I read the topic title I thought of the short lived WB summer series Young Americans. 8 episodes. Including an incest fake out, and an androgynous-girl-dressing-like-a-guy-makes-guy-think-he-might-be-a-gay fake out. It was years before the L Word, so I had a cliche lesbian crush on Kate Moennig years before anyone else.

"My brother plays a drag queen... and I'm surprised he looks as good as he does in drag." - Adam Rapp
"thanks, abba. now i'll forever have an image of you as a tattoed hardcore straightedge grrl savaging people in the mosh pit." - papalovesmambo
"Yeah Abba. All the filthy crap you spew out there on those boards. I for one, am equally shocked. :-P" - AnnaK

JohnBoy2, I'm with you on Coronet Blue, loved that show even though I was a kid and didn't understand it. I still don't know how it ended.
Others I liked:
-Zoom (on PBS)
-Girl Talk with Virginia Graham (I recall Gypsy Rose Lee either as a frequent guest or sometimes host)
-Love on a Rooftop (with the late Pete Duel, Judy Carne, and very funny Rich Little)
