Aw. I liked reading the randomness. It was fun.
You can come to the chats!!!
Barb,
I totally see what you're saying with this board going off topic, but somewhere through this madness, there is a core group of us for a pure love (and yes I'll admit obsession ..maybe only on my part) for Greg. So don't worry! I'm sure you know who the true fans are. As we speak, I have been downloading (for 10 hours I'll have you know! lol) Greg's episode of Friends and can't wait to watch it, and will be looking at the In&Out pics shortly.
So who enjoyed my fan photos section called "The Stages of Greg Jbara's Hair"? lol.
I did!!
Who likes my first fan photos ever, which happened to be of the Minnelli madness which occured last night!!
WOOOOOO!!!! GREG WAS GREAT ON FRIENDS!!!1 SOOOOOO ADORABLE I WANTED TO HUG HIM! IF ANYBODY WANTS A COPY OF THE EP. PM ME!
Ehh I have mixed feelings about the "silliness" and "off-topicness" of this thread.
On the one hand, if you peak in at all the other love threads, they do often tend to get very off-topic with just a core group of that person's fans...the people stirring it in that direction are true big Greg fans, and sometimes there's only so much Greg discussion we can keep up on non-cam days.
On the other hand, I haven't exactly been a huge fan and participater in these discussions. I love everyone here, but sometimes the randomness goes a bit far for me(Bam?) And then I skim through the thread on non-cam days and don't read most of it. And I do see Barb's point about newbies visiting the thread, and how it might confuse them or keep them from really joining in.
So I see both sides, just kinda throwing my two cents in.
From a personal standpoint, I guess I would like to see less of it, just b/c it's not really my thing and i guess I am a bit older, but not gonna argue with opinions. So yeah. If that made sense...
lol I'm older than everyone and I helped create bam...hangs head in shame
I understand where everyone is coming from on the "silliness and randomness" of this thread..but I also think it's what makes this thread so special, in a way. It's hard to keep it alive on non-cam days. Though I know the inside jokes are lost on people..uh...not on the inside of the joke. lol. And it's not because you guys are older that you feel some of it should stop...I'm older than most of the people participating in the randomness (besides Cat, and I bow down to her seniority...) It's all in good fun, and we're all definitely Greg fans through and through.
I love long blabbing paragraphs that hold no real point!
Anyway - my night made up for my awful day and weekend. Saw Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants for the 3rd time. That movie is therepy for me. Because I cry throughout 75% of it. lol

I CREATED BAM :UCKS AND RUNS FOR COVER::. You have to understand that we on the Greg thread, the core of us, have grown kind of close, and what we say in the GFU AIM chat carries on into the thread. Now like I said before, I love Greg, but there's only so much we can talk about, lol. Keep in mind, all the madness started with comments on things that Greg said.
I do understand that newcomers may be confused, but many newbies came in just two cams ago and are now "a part of the jokes" it's just a matter of hopping in.
Now to point things out without being rude, some of the people who don't enjoy the Greg jokes are the people who are only here for the cam, and don't stick around to talk about other things.... all's I'm sayin'
Soooo, let's talk about Greg!! Friends ep, to those who pmed me, when yousendit finally gets around to uploading the darn thing, I will send it to you!!
He's so cute in this I can't stand it!!

woo hoo! Go, Liz, for making a convert!
Well they will be once they see the show I'll bet. :)
Someone at my church whose job takes them to NYC fairly often, with some free time while they're there usually, said they're going to try and go see DRS on an upcoming trip.
So, Liz, "go us!" :)
Barb xo
BARB IT'S 4:30 AM AND WE'RE BOTH STILL UP?!?!?!?
Greetings GFUers. Yawn. I should have gone to sleep earlier last night. Oh well.
Have a swell day..I'll be back later.
Ugh, too early. Classes TWR make Tuesdays much more difficult.
Kerrie, I looved Sisterhood...! I cried too, and my friend laughed at me. I dunno, there were odd moments that got to me, not necessary what one would suspect. There was one line in the Greece story about..."some people like to show their beauty so all the world can see...others like to hide it so people can see something else." That really made me cry, because that's kind of how I feel. And just little moments like that...loved it. Great movie.
I cried at that part as well. The conversation Carmen has with her dad over the phone has me sobbing everytime - more than Bailey's storyline. But I have daddy issues, so that's probably why..lol. I would gladly see it a 4th time. Which cracks me up, because I went into it the 1st time thinking I was going to hate it.
Okay, I'm really going off to camp now..sigh. lol

I guess you are right, mamie. Despite the fact that I am almost 25, I could be really childish but sometimes I just have to have fun because I just graduated from University and I am seaching jobs which makes me pretty tired and exhausted...so, I will do my best to stay sane.
Back to DRS: could someone please explain the "mutual"-jokes to me. Because I don't get it.
Ooohh...good point Annie there's enough gravity in real life..
...I don't get why people get angry because we get off the topic of Greg or DRS and then go off topic themselves..lol.
CATHERINE!!! LOL! Annie is 6 years your senior! So now, I defy your seniority!! Muahahaha!! ::bows down to ANNIE::

Okay....but let's get back to my question, the mutual-joke.
when Joanna says that why is it so funny?
My dictionary says the mutual means that she is also happy to meet André.
Does mutual has a certain meaning that the dictionary didn't show. It must be dirty, I guess. lol
Oh okay! I'll explain..
She says..I'm Murial of OMAHA..
Then after she says..it's MUTUAL
Mutual, is, I believe, a very large Real Estate agency in Omaha known as Mutual of Omaha. .
