OK - tho it's off topic....
I said I saw a wonderful performance of Hairspray today. Unfortunately it suffered terribly from the WORST thing that can happen in a theatre (to me anyway) a DEAD AUDIENCE. There's nothing I love more than to be in an audience that is so connected to the activity on the stage that they become an extra player. You can feel the energy flowing back and forth and it's really incredibly exciting. The exact opposite happens when the audience just isn't there. I have no idea why that happens - bad weather, a full moon, whatever. I just know that it can completely ruin the show for me. Anybody else know what I mean?
