and in less than 30 mins it'll officially be my bday.
hey totally random. but has anyone here when they were at the stage door meet the infamous Mr. Andrew Asnes?
me personally whenever i see a show try and meet whoever i can, ensemble member's included. but i was just curious to see if anyone here has actually met him.
Happy early birthday. :)

i didnt actually meet him, but he did yell at some kid who was sitting down. but then he apologized. well kinda. i dont know, it was funny, he seems like a funny guy
Last time I saw the show, I was with a couple of friends, and they were stage dooring but we were a couple rows in the back, so I saw Andrew come out, but he walked fast, no one recognized him, and he walked in the direction away from me. Oh well, hopefully at some point. He choreographed one of the dances at Bryant Park but we left after Rent, don't think he was there though.

hm i got that alllll wrong
the guy who yelled at the kid WAS the door man. oops.
Meg!!
And we've reached 13,000 posts!!!! Too bad we couldn't reach it on the thread anniversary!
dre, how are you liking the last five years?
if i ever get to go see DRS again, or stand by the stage door, i am most definately gonna look for all of the ensemble members, specially Andrew! haha. but, he sounds like a cool guy. but, i remember, i THINK it was either greg or jason (he was blonde!) walked really fast, right past me. it's like he didn't think anybody would care. i felt bad. ah, well. i mean, i was in the ensemble for my school's musical last year, and i definately have a lot more respect for them now! and then there were the orchestra people. i actually wanted to find the flute player (cuz, u know, i play flute!) and get HIS autograph but, i couldn't recognize which one he was. haha, that's life.
Here it is there is not much dialogue though...You don't like cathy's songs?

Hey guys. Sorry I randomly disappeared. lol. I went to the movies randomly. Saw The Island, to see my future husband. I really enjoyed it. Good stuff.
I skimmed over the last couple pages, so I'm replying to different things I remember..
I don't really use myspace for much. I used to use the journal as a secret journal, but then I told the person I was hiding from about it. lol. I'm addicted to livejournal. My username is orlando_s_lover if anyone wants to add me.
When I saw DRS, I was looking for Andrew to come out of the stagedoor the entire time. I never did see him. There's a good chance he was with the crowd of people that walked out at the same time as Norbert. I couldn't make out any faces, and he never would have heard me above all the Norbert commotion. Hopefully I'll catch him next time.
Couple of things...I think that's the thing with ensemble members, they never expect to get stopped so they walk out quickly, I mean...I guess it makes sense, what if you walked out very slowly kinda waiting for someone to tell you you did great and have no one recognize you? I'd rather make a quick getaway, so my assumption is you'd hafta be in good poisition and really quick but if you can stop them I'm sure they'd be please to stop and pose and chat and whatever.
And Dre, unfortunately, it may be hard to meet Andrew on Wednesday, you pretty much miss most of the stage door when you go in, and ensemble members are out quick, so unless you catch them leaving or on the stairs...but again, I'm sure you're not complaining, I'm sure there'll be more oppertunities to meet Andrew. Come to think of it, I met/said hello to someone who was a new ensemble member at the time...don't remember who it was, damnit, now that somehow or another I know of most of the ensemble, it'd be cool to at least remember who she was...
Ohh and one more thing I noticed about Andrew, I'm sure you'll be fine if you see the show, but it's weird seeing him in anything except the bellboy costume, and having never seen him otherwise, it might have taken me a bit or two to recognize him, I think that happened during ensemble numbers. But for anyone that stage doors after seeing the show, that shouldn't be a problem.

Hello everyone, good morning!
First of all: Happy birthday Meg!
Second: thanks so much for the "Member Who Is The Most Dedicated to GFU" award. It made me so happy.
You are not gonna believe what happened. While traveling home I already felt that I don't feel well. And today I hardly can swallow. I have got a cold. It's funny.
So that was a good morning message from the "sick" Annie...."oh, I need a tissueeeeeeeee..."
