sorry, i understand the whole explanation of swing and standbys, but, in the DRS program, it only mentions the understudies's names. no mention of standbys. and, when Norb was out for the week that i saw the show, joe cassidy, the u/s, was subbing in for every performance, and he's not called the standby, because, u know, he's in the ensemble!

just wondering if only the REALLY popular shows that are usually sold out; like wicked and spamalot-have standbys for the main characters.

and logainne, i'm glad you got to meet greg! and it's amazing that you got to meet john! (he's so...quiet! i mean, he's amazing, but, usually at the end of a performance, he's looks so tired, and therefore is...quiet! lol.)

But yes. L5Y is amazing. Jason Robert Brown is a genius. I definitely recommend picking up the CD. And if you like it.. consider picking up Songs for a New World, another JRB masterpiece.

Ahhhh. L5Y is amazing. I love it all. My two favorites are "Nobody Needs to Know" (It made me cryyyyy.) and "Climbing Uphill" (Jesus Christ, I suck, I suck, I suck, I suck...)

In terms of Norbert/Cassidy, Norbert doesn't have a standby, which explains why when he's out, the understudy is out. I don't know why certain roles have standbys and some don't...but if there is a standby, he/she would be the first called to go on before an understudy.

okay this is random, but thats okay. i was trying to catch up from where i left yesterday, but there were too many more pages. so anyway i was reading one and it said something about a GFU aim chat room. so i was wondering if there is one now and what the name is. thanks! right then back to my corner.

Chatrooms spring up randomly on AIM among us, Gavroche girl usually starts them, the chat name is usually GFU, I'll make sure to post on the thread from now on about them,we've been sort of remiss about it before...
