Wow, that makes me really sad! She's in my prayers as well!

West Side Story was on PBS? I missed it. John Lloyd Young Love Thread One of my favorite classic musicals, along with Camelot.

I just read Jen Naimo's blog. So sad. John Lloyd Young Love Thread Jen's message was short but heartfelt. I can't help wondering how Frankie is feeling.

There are so many theatre-related events that I become sad I don't live in NY.

Just read this news release about the guys singing the national anthem tomorrow.

The Broadway softball games always sound like they'd be a lot of fun to go to!

I love the pictures from the softball game posted on the JB Blog! Looks like an amazing time.

Is the baseball jersey that some of the guys were wearing available to the general public? I love it. :)

Love the new pictures. I must say the Mets Mascot is kinda scary. As a Red Sox fan my favorite mascot is of course Wally the Green Monster.
The towel waving reminded me of a Per?nist rally. I kept chanting "Evita!" whenever they'd pan to the crowds. - SM2

Loved the pictures! I would have loved to have been there, it looks so much fun. I'm sure that they had a blast!
I really want one of those baseball jerseys now, they're really cool!!I've never seen them where they sell all the shirts before. They definatley should start selling them though!

Kameron, I'm with you on the baseball jerseys! I want one. But then again, I still need to buy the red JB t-shirt.

JLY's latest blog entry is so great. The show is definitely helping to maintain the Four Seasons' legacy and popularity. A friend mentioned that Can't Take My Eyes off of You was one of the audition songs performed on that Grease reality show, but I never saw it. Did anyone watch and catch that performance?

I share JLY's enthusiasm for YouTube. I looked up his name on it the other day, and I saw a bit of Bobby Spencer singing at The After Party event he had recently. He sounded fantastic!

Finally, I'm saying HI to Rachel and Lori b/c I haven't caught up with them lately. *waves*

Yeah my friend got that red shirt, well I think the one your talking about. I went with the grey one with the picture on it.

I agree 100% with you. The show definatley shines a bright light on the group! I think it helps bring there music to younger generations, like mine. I obviously wasn't around in there era, but after seeing the show, I've definatley become a fan of not just Jersey Boys, but The Four Seasons!

Really?(Cant Take My Eyes off of You as audition song) I watched the show, but never heard the song. Maybe I spaced out or something, you can never tell with me!! I would've loved to see that though!

Hi ShbrtAlley44! Welcome to the JLY thread. :) John's awesome. Not only is he an incredible actor with a beautiful voice, but he's also a gracious, kind person. What I admire about him most are his focus and dedication.

John's girlfriend, Alison, is a casting director for the Papermill Playhouse. Here's a great picture of them, from Spring Awakening opening night. They look wonderful. I also like Alison's hair.

Christina: I've never seen The Sopranos. Everyone says it's a brilliant show, though. I'll have to watch episodes on DVD. Cool that they mentioned JB! Has Frankie guest starred on The Sopranos before?

Kameron: I, too, became a Four Seasons fan through JB. I didn't know that many of their songs I was already familiar with, like Sherry. The show sparked my interest in other Four Seasons' songs, ones not in the show.

I saw Spider-Man 3 today, on IMAX. I had my concerns because the second movie is one of my favorite films. Some friends (hi Erin! :)) also were disappointed. I thought the movie, while flawed, was still worth seeing. Overall, I liked it. And seeing the action sequences--and the JB billboard!--on a superbig screen was exciting.

Have a good week, everyone!

Thats really cool! I havent really been following the show. What did they say?

Just got done reading JLY's blog. He has yet another link to a cool video on youtube. He talks about how show choirs have been singing Four Seasons' medleys. Then he goes on to say that maybe Jersey Boys is to blame. Anyway, it's a good video and the show choir is pretty good. So ya'll should check it out!

I think disapointed is a bit of an understatement. When the movie ended I shouted "I want my two and a half hours back"

I love that picture of Alison and John(I helped Judy find the picture) and I also love her earrings that she's wearing.

Hey all! I just got back from a weekend in the city. I went to the softball opening day among seeing plenty of shows (PS... Journey's End is the one of the most amazing pieces of theater I have EVER seen in my life, although not for young or the faint of heart at all). The boys sang the National Anthem and were quite good. As for the JB jersey, they are not available to the public. However, in the past, other shows have put them on ebay to raise money for BCEFA functions, so keep an eye out.

I can't believe you guys didn't like SPIDER-MAN 3! I loved it, and have seen it twice now. The bar scene is a little out of whack, but everything else was great. Maybe it's just because I was disappointed with the second movie.

Oh, and PSA: Go see Journey's End. Amazing.

Yeah not the most positive thing, but I agree that it's still cool. Atleast the guy didn't die during the show, or in front of the theatre or someting like that! Haha.

I'm really excited for Tony nominations tommorow!! I wont be able to find out untill after shool though because I'm going to be missing my free period. Darn "Little Shop of Horrors"!! Not sure if I have a favorite or not. I definatley like Christine Ebersole though. I guess we'll just wait and see!!

Christine, thanks for the background on Frankie on The Sopranos. I will have to watch sometime; it's one show that is always recommended to me, as well as Six Feet Under, Deadwood, and The Wire.

I remember that JLY mentioned Project Runway as a show he watches, but I've never seen that, either.

LOL! ICAM. That would have been awful. Instead, luckily, it's just a cool JB shout-out.

Yay for the Tony noms; I probably won't get to see the announcement, though I'll read about the noms on BWW. I'm rooting for Raul Esparza. And as far as the actual Tony award broadcast is concerned, I'm looking forward to the Spring Awakening performance.

I'd like to see Grey Gardens!

The competition among plays seems especially strong this year, so it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I be in the computer lab for Scince so when I should be getting ready for my final project I'll be looking at the Tony noms.

Did anyone here see Dancing with the Stars tonight? I've been in love with Apolo since the show started. That Cha-cha was HOT! I know it was a bit to ranchy but I thought it was much better that Ian's dance.

Christina, that's such a pretty BWW avatar.

Christine Ebersole, Raul Esparza, and John Gallagher Jr. were nominees I happiest to hear about. :) On the subject of Spring Awakening, I saw a video clip recently of Duncan Sheik singing Don't Do Sadness, among other songs--he is incredible.

Saw these great pics of the Broadway events, including the Broadway softball event. Enjoy!
