Christine, thanks for the background on Frankie on The Sopranos. I will have to watch sometime; it's one show that is always recommended to me, as well as Six Feet Under, Deadwood, and The Wire.
I remember that JLY mentioned Project Runway as a show he watches, but I've never seen that, either.
Yeah not the most positive thing, but I agree that it's still cool. Atleast the guy didn't die during the show, or in front of the theatre or someting like that! Haha.
LOL! ICAM. That would have been awful. Instead, luckily, it's just a cool JB shout-out.
Yay for the Tony noms; I probably won't get to see the announcement, though I'll read about the noms on BWW. I'm rooting for Raul Esparza. And as far as the actual Tony award broadcast is concerned, I'm looking forward to the Spring Awakening performance.
I'd like to see Grey Gardens!
The competition among plays seems especially strong this year, so it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.

I be in the computer lab for Scince so when I should be getting ready for my final project I'll be looking at the Tony noms.
Did anyone here see Dancing with the Stars tonight? I've been in love with Apolo since the show started. That Cha-cha was HOT! I know it was a bit to ranchy but I thought it was much better that Ian's dance.
Christina, that's such a pretty BWW avatar.
Christine Ebersole, Raul Esparza, and John Gallagher Jr. were nominees I happiest to hear about. :) On the subject of Spring Awakening, I saw a video clip recently of Duncan Sheik singing Don't Do Sadness, among other songs--he is incredible.
Saw these great pics of the Broadway events, including the Broadway softball event. Enjoy!
cool Broadway softball pics, including one of Christian Hoff and Jon Groff

I saw that picture of Aaron(aka my third broadway husband). I'm so happy because he will be doing a concert up in Tanglewood on July 10th. I talked to my mom to see if we could go and she said "we'll see". My dad seems to be more open to the idea though.
But seeing as my sister's baby is due July 11th it might be had to see the concert. I personally think that the baby will be born July 7th that way he can be a 7/7/07 baby.
The Tony nods look intersting. I was going to sneak a look in school today during E-period but the power went out D-period.
Awww Erin you'll be an Aunt again thats great
Liked the Tony nominations this year, but little sad Ashley Brown aka who played Mary Poppins was NOT nominated!!!!!!!! She really deserved a nomination! Glad Gavin Lee has one!!
Also, the cast of CURTAINS!!!!!
Also, guess what guys my friend and I got tickets to see a Chorus Line on July 8th YAYAYAYAY

My mom and I are saying how Lizzie is going to be like Lucy while her new brother will be like Linus for Charile Brown she even wants to make him a blanket.
As for being an Aunt again it;s going to be fun. I feel bad for Lizzie because she loves my brother so much and as of next Friday my brother will become an officer in the Air Force and will be heading for CA in July and his girlfriend will joing him later on in the year. So it's a good thing that I'm staying around for a few more years at least because I think Lizzie will be having a hard time with my brother moving across the country.
I'm pretty excited that Laura Bell Bundy was nominated. I saw her in Legally Blonde about a month ago, and fell in love with her(and Christian Borle)!haha Everyone here in Kentucky is rooting for her, mostley because she's from Lexington! It's still a pretty cool thing for her to shed a good light on us stuck here in good 'ole Kentucky!=]]

John and Aaron in the same video? I'm a happy camper. I still think the Mets Mascot is creepy.
hey guys! ahhh it's been so long since I've been on BWW. My show just ended so now I have sort of free time, except that finals are just around the corner. But then summer!
I love that video. It was hilarious.
I'm really excited for the Tony's this year! I was happy with the nominees, nothing to surprising though.
Elle- I LOVE your signature. Broadway Abridged is amazinggg.
I wish I could've been there for Broadway softball! It really sucks that I have to work on Thursdays. Oh, well, can't complain.
Emily - thanks! Broadway Abridged is one of my favorite things, and the Piazza one makes me laugh every time. "Look, there is duomo stuff!"
Hey Emily! Nice to see you back on BWW. :)
Lori, your enthusiasm is contagious! I'm excited that you'll get to see ACL soon.
Loved the Broadway softball video--great interviews with everyone and I enjoyed seeing/hearing the guys sing the national anthem.
Erin pointed me toward JLY videos on the American Theatre Wing's official Tony Awards site--Tony flashback and Tony memories segments. :)

Hi Christina: I am pretty excited about the new POTC movie. I watched the second one this week to prepare myself, and I liked it better this time around. I like the Elizabeth/Jack Sparrow dynamic. Johnny Depp is awesome.
Jennifer Naimo's latest blog entry is very interesting. She mentions that Sergio worked with the cast on some new choreography. I'm curious as to who had to learn it and what changes/tweaks were made. :) I also loved reading that Glenn Close saw the show again and brought guests.

Quick post since I skimmed the last page...
Frankie Valli's character on the Sopranos was killed off a while ago. The recent Jersey Boys mentioning was when Paulie's mother died on the bus ride back to the home after they saw JB. I started laughing as soon as I heard it. My dad, the avid Sopranos obsessee and also loves JB as well, said "well atleast she got to see the show before she went".
Softball opening day was wonderful. You can see me in the video a couple of times. It was nice to finally see it uploaded since I saw Richard Blake filming it. If you ever have a spare Thursday you should go take in some softball action. Not many cast members play, so don't go there to completely watch for Broadway celebs, but there are a few that play every week and others stop over to cheer.
Tony noms were interesting this year. I'm not really excited about them like last year, but I'd love to see Stark Sands win Featured Actor in a play. He's phenomenal in Journey's End. Hugh Dancy should have been nominated but there were many snubs this season. Kristin Chenoweth should have been in Leading Actress in a Musical (I don't think Ashley was snubbed, sorry Lori, her performance did nothing for me). I also think Legally Blonde deserved the Best Musical nomination over Mary Poppins. I think this year's Tonys will be fairly blah, rather 2005 IMO. 2004's Tonys were amazing and then last year was wonderful for JB.
...aaaand that's about all folks! Hope all is well!

Oh... and Erin, Apolo's Cha Cha was not raunchy! Len just is bipolar and tells him to be "cheeky" one minute and then says it is too raunchy the next. Crazed old man...

Well I ment the dance was raunchy for some peoples tastes. I went onto youtube to watch it again and loved even more the second time around. I tired to vote for them but the phone line was busy. I was able to vote online though.
I'm heading down to NYC tomrorrow for a school trip. We're seeing Spelling Bee. Too bad the weather is going to be bad.

Thanks Christina!
New York was fun today. I got a Jersey Boys shirt at the theater store next to the Booth Theater. Spelling Bee was great and for those who live in the city you should see the show with the new cast, they're great

Kathryn those videos were great. I'd never seen any of them. My parents were at that show when they left at intermission, back when rush only made you get to the theater at 8AM to get ticket. They got lots of free stuff at that show: the JB CD, JB mints, and also were spoken to by Bob Gaudio and Rick Elice for their 30 minute extended intermission. I was jealous I gave them the tickets that day but it was my dad's birthday so it worked.... It was just a little over a year ago that happened actually.
The other two from Rockers were great as well! And that voicemail, oh goodness!
Kathryn, thanks for posting those YouTube links! I want a Jersey Boys answering machine message! That and/or singing "Speak!" a la Rent.
John updated his blog today, with some notes on what he's read, and recommendations. At the Ethan Hawke and Robert Sean Leonard mention, my first thought was, "Aww, Dead Poets Society." And about Martha Plimpton--I was happy about her Drama Desk win. :)
