Happy Birthday to John and to America!!
John is sounding absoulutely wonderful on the Macy's Fireworks show. I love that song!=]]
I love the song too - but his rendition was generic at best. Why didn't they play the Louis Armstrong version - its perfect.
Mr. Youngs version was not , and adding that falsetto at the end was torture.
Yeah I have to admit I really wasn't feeling the falsetto that he added.
Hey Everyone!
First off I want to say that John did an amazing job with that song. It was beautiful and their was not a thing wrong with it.
I need to ask you all a question. Why do you hid on this thread? Do you know that they are other threads about Jersey Boys? and that their are thread were people trash Jersey Boys and its cast members? And none of us are their defending the show or the people we say we love so much. It think it is time we show the haters of Jersey Boys and its cast how committed we are to out beloved Broadway Cast.
that is all for me for now.
Hope everyone had a great fourth! Loved hearing John sing at the Macy's fireworks.
Also just read John's latest blog entry. Looks like he had an amazing time in London! Apparently his hotel was pretty close to the car bombing incidents, which is really scary, but glad to hear that he's ok. Reading the recap of his trip makes me want to visit London even more than I already did.
Oh, no I haven't been to London before...I just meant that reading all about John's trip made me want to visit even more than I already wanted to visit to begin with. Maybe I didn't use the best phrasing, sorry.
If you guys get a chance to see Travis Cloer as Frankie TAKE IT!
He is incredible!
Hey everyone!! I had a great 4th of July, they didn't show John singing. They don't promote Broadway down here. But thank God for the internet. It's cool that John went to London. I was listening to the 50s and 60s Gold SIRIUS station on the 4th of July and they played a lot of JB songs!! I was like "Wait, this is suppose to be playing on Broadway's Best!" They played some Frankie Valli also. I requested a Happy Birthday related song for John on that station cause back then a lot of singers had a lot of Birthday songs out. The guy asked "Is this song for a special someone?" I said "Yes, it's for a dear friend of mine, it's his birthday today." Too bad I didn't make it in time to be heard on the radio.
Oh, well!
this is totally a rumor but John might be doing Jersey Boys over in London. Travis would go to Las Vegas and Jarrod Spector would come to NY. Again this is a rumor.
Hey y'all! Sorry I've been MIA for several days. I'm in Florida visiting my sister, with limited access to a computer. I was at Disney World yesterday--it was fun! But I will be back home tomorrow night. The last thing I did before I left? Wish JLY a happy birthday on his myspace, of course!
So happy to see John updated his blog. Despite the scary news of late, I want to go to London (and hope he has the opportunity to open JB there).
Kathryn, when I get home, I'll try to catch up on the Broadway news, etc. Honestly, lately I have only had time to read this thread, the JB Blog, JLY's site, and other JB news sites--so I haven't been keeping up with BWW quite as much.
Hey everyone! John updated his Blog.
obsessedjb, did you see JB yesterday? I was outside the theater waiting for a friend of mine, and saw someone I thought I recognized from BWW or MySpace or something.
Yeah I did! I thought it was you and I was going to ask but didn't.
I did a search first but nothing came up, but does anyone know if that's John in the PNC Bank commercial?
Hey everyone, sorry I have been MIA lately! I have been kinda busy, with my best friend getting married and all, and other things...can't believe she is married already ahhh, but so happy for her of course Anyways...so happy summer is here! BUT MAN IS UNGODLY HOT & HUMID IN NJ it hit 98 today I think!!!
Hope everyone is doing well
Happy Belated Birthday to John and America sorry I wasn't on that day oops!
Glad John had a nice trip to London as well. Kind of creepy with those stupid car bombings, but luckliy no one was hurt!!!!!

Hey there everyone! I'm sorry if I haven't be posting as much I've been busy with college stuff and moving my things into my sister's old room and that means I have to clean alot.
I went to the midnight showing of the new Hary Potter movie last night (or this morning how ever you look at it). I enjoyed it but I still think the 4th movie is the best one.
Erin, I just read your mom's thread about the birth. CONGRATS!!! Hope momma and baby are doing well

I talked with my mom who went to see Brian and my sister today and they're both doing great. I hope to have some pictures up this weekend.
I'm going to a concert tonight--The Goo Goo Dolls and Lifehouse.
I double checked the time on the venue Web site, and lo and behold, I see that Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons are going to have a concert here in late August, right before school starts. Yay!
Funny, but if not for JB, before I probably would have read that announcement and not paid as much attention.
a really nice photographer there took this for me
