There's nothing wrong with "dirty rotten number" but they need their Tony performance to either be very funny or have strong vocals and except for Norbert's part of the song, it has neither. Norbert can sing his ass off, but John sings most of the song and that's not good. DRS needs to put flash or funny on that stage, so that means GBS or Ruprecht.

OMG, I just pictured Ruprecht on stage at the Tonys! It would be a million times funnier at the Tonys cuz it's so wild! Can you imagine the reaction from the crowd when Norbert comes out as Ruprecht? I can see it!!!

I WOULD LOVE IT! I wish this would happen.But really just seeing him perform on the Tonys will be fine for me, that and him winning the Tony of course

Good comparison to Jack Black. It's great to see him in a role that really lets him cut loose. When are Steve Martin and Lithgow's castmastes (Kristen Johnson, Jane Curtin) going to see this show?

I'm still tickled that Idina and Taye went to see Norbs. And I know he mentioned inviting Teri Hatcher to see him. I think she saw him Wicked, too. LOL.

Oh, btw, I was on Compulsive Bowlers last night, and someone mentioned that Norbert and Yasmine Alers were "on fire" in Rent. LOL. Which is funny b/c he also had great chemistry with Marcy Harriell!

He's a cutie/hottie--and in numerous interviews he has said he started doing theatre to meet women. So he's a flirt, too (said as a compliment..)

It's nice to have a person who you admire on B'WAY who likes women as more than friends..I was WAY into John Tartaglia last year, but (sigh) we could only be friends.

LOL. Aw, I love John Tartaglia (who doesn't?!). And woo, Michael Arden!

Norbert does have a knack for having great chemistry with co-stars, including Kristin in Wicked. I remember reading an early Wicked interview, where she said something like, "I'm in love with Norbert. I'd never worked with him before, but he is fabulous."

Indeed.

MTVMANN: I'm glad you enjoyed TL5Y. I think her songs are great as well. It's really hard to choose a favorite 'cause really most of the songs are so beautifully done.

Tommy: AAAAAAHH! Where has this cd been all my life. I love love love that mans voice. He really can sing everything. I would give everything I own to see him in another Broadway show. I can't wait to see him in Passion next week! Life is good.

2 me the most AMazing thing is- He was supposed to be a classical actor- Did Laertes in Hamlet and all. And I would LOOOVE to see him do more drama stuff. I wonder, does he want a film career? He is just so gooooood! ( course I want him to record too!)

I think that is what makes me such a huge fan of his. He is so overwhelmingly talented and yet still seems so unimpressed with himself. He makes everything look so easy.
I haven't heard as to whether or not he wants to do film but I certainly hope he does. For selfish reasons of course! I would LOVE to see him on the big screen:)

Did everyone read the NY Times article today--Ben Brantley mentions Norbert several times and cites him as one performer on B'way today (along with Kristin, a few others) who can still have great performances without succumbing to "American Idol" vocal theatrics. It's clear he really thinks alot of Norbert.

(P.S. More Norbert tidbits, please!)
