On Mondays! lol!
I hear the acoustics in the bathroom are good- so maybe when he showesr?
This is from someone at Talkin' Broadway.com:
Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was fun. Audience went wild for it and you walked out of the theatre with a big smile.
Of course! The only time that the audience isn't smiling is during "love sneaks in". DRS is a giant happy pill, love it!
Without going back thru the past 30 or so pages...did anyone see him in this? I remember Teri Hatcher got pretty bad reviews, although her popularity now seems to be causing a different spin on this...so Norbs was beyond amazing?
I would have loved to have seen Norbs in Cabaret! *sigh* Critics were mean to Teri but very kind to Norbert, but I'd love to read some specific things about his performance.
Alejandra, happy to bump up the thread from page 3....

I would give my fingers and toes to have seen this man in Cabaret. Still my favorite show to date...
Norb got excellent reviews here in Toronto when he toured w Cabaret. In fact he won the Dora award ( the TO version of a Tony) for outstanding male performance! The tour was pretty successful so hopefully that will help w the Tony awards.

*BUMP* We can't let Norb get lost on page 2!
YAY!! I'm back from New York! Oh my gosh, I can't express how much flipping fun I had! Wait, I can. I had the most fantasmagorical time there in the history of everything! AND...my friends and I got tickets on 3/31 for DRS! We sat in the left box, and had great close up views of the cast. Despite all the wonderful reviews I read of the show before I saw it, I couldn't believe how awesome it was!! Norb is of course FANTASTIC!! Him and John Lithgow are a great duo. And I love Sherie! I'm so excited I finally got to see her and Norb together! I'm just excited I got to see them at all!
I love Dirty Rotten Guys, but my favorites have to be Great Big Stuff and of course All About Ruprecht. Hell, I loved it all! I'm planning on buying tickets to the show again for when I go back to the city this summer. And I can't wait for the Cast Recording! How long do you guys think it'll take to come out?
Okay, I'm just rambling, but I have to tell someone how excited I am!
ETA: I forgot to mention I met Norby too! Wow, I about melted when he came near me! Oh, and I didn't realize until I got my pictures back that he was wearing a Sh-k-Boom t-shirt. How cool is that? The pic is my avatar now. Okay, now I'm really done.

onlythegood, This picture came out great--Norbs looks adorable
Yay, what a great report, onlythegood! You're so lucky. :) I'm still dying to see DRS. I heart the cast and it looks like it would be a blast.
And I'm sorry, but my silly *gushing* ensues! Norb wearing a Sh-K Boom t-shirt. That is darling. One of these days, he HAS to record a CD with Sh-K Boom!
There are some cute pics of John Lithgow with Jane Curtain and David Hyde Pierce up on BWW main page.

Alejandra--
I totally agree that Norbert needs hs own CD!!!!!!! I couldn't imagine it...I think I'd pass out. Everytime I listen to L5Y my herat just melts. Did you hear him on the recording of the Confidence Man? Also, have you heard of his recording of Babydoll?
OK-What are you talking about--The Confidence Man?..details, please.
onlythegood-So happy to hear that you saw DRS and loved it!
I think it's a good sign that he's wearing a sh-k-boom t-shirt, maybe my dream will come true and he'll make a record on the sh-k-boom label. Any label is fine but he's got a close friend over there!
I think the release date for the DRS obcr is May 10th, YAY!
OK-I looked up "Confidence Man" on amazon...it's a recording of Jim Steinman song's by various artists.
I agree, looking forward to a recording all of Norbert's own someday soon!
Pinky--
aww, I love Babydoll. It's a little strange, b/c of the lyrics, and b/c it's one of Norb's songs instead of one he did for a show. But it's addictive to listen to.
I've heard the same song thespian geek did from the Confidence Man, the "Pain" song. It's not one of my favorites, but hey, Norb can do anything.
On a somewhat related note (Jason Robert Brown), there is a story about the upcoming Songs for a New World Concert. Great cast is being assembled!
Hey y'all: DRS is the topic for an upcoming American Theatre Wing Seminar. The creative team, and Sherie and Norb, are going to be there. It's on April 14.
Cool news!

Thanks Alejandra! I probably won't be able to go but it'll be so much fun to watch. An hour and a half with Norbert and Sherie and the DRS crew, love it!
bb--the cool thing is that eventually that seminar with Norb and Sherie should/will be posted online on the American Theatre Wing Web site.
There are already great interviews/seminars on that site. I watched the Big River one earlier. Just for the record: Tyrone Giordano, who played Huck, is really really good looking and amazing actor. LOL.
American Theatre Wing site
Alejandra--You are an amazing resource--I will be so happy when this is available. Would love to see it live, but can't run in at the drop of a hat..
The American Theatre Wing really is great, I'm so happy they archive their interviews. It reminds me of Inside the Actors Studio.
Another poster posted info on a DRS OBCR promotional block party on the main BWW board. Bringing it over here so that y'all who are in the area can plan to see Norbs, John, Sherie, Sara and the gang (and get the CD early, I assume)... :)
>Original Broadway Cast Recording
• Coming soon from Ghostlight Records!
There will be a big CD Promotional Block Party in front of the Imperial Theatre on Wednesday April 27 from 11 am to 1 pm with the entire cast on hand to sign CD's, including live performances from David Yazbek and his band.

Sorry even though this is Norbert (DRS thread), but I have to respond to this comment. You are absolutely right, Alejandra925! Ty is so talented but he really doesn't realize that, can you believe it? At list Hollywood did, that's good :) He's filming "Stone Family" with Diane Keaton, Sarah Jessica Parker, etc.. And I LOVE Big River segment at the Theatre Wing site.
BTW, I do love Norbie too. I saw him in Cabaret, my friend used to be his roomie, and I love him in L5Y. I haven't had a chance to see him in Wicked or DRS can't wait for the OBC.

This is one girl who would sreak through her campus naked just to have seen Norbert in Cabaret. So, so sorry I missed that... *kicks self*
I saw him. I can't compare though as his was the only ass I ever saw in CABARET. I remember it vividly though as it was my first experience with nudity in the theatre.
...and then came TAKE ME OUT.
