Hello everyone! Just crashing the party to say how happy I am for Norbert! I cried during his speech. Well, I'd started to cry after they cut to Kelli O'Hara during Victoria Clark's speech, and never quite recovered. I'm so proud of them.
My dad, who has very little interest in theatre, called to say he watched the performance of "Great Big Stuff." He is a Norb fan; we saw him and Sherie in RENT, and they were my dad's favorites. I'm taking him to DRS in August!

Posted: 6/7/05 at 3:22pmI saw DRS on 5/21 and a cell phone rang during the performance...and you all KNOW how Norb HATES that. I wish you could have seen the look on his face up there. I was ready for a really cool adlib, but I heard he did that once and was "admonished" for it.

Posted: 6/7/05 at 3:45pmI do! It's when he was in "Wicked"...there is a reference to animals being put in cages in the show, and Norbs (as Fiyero) said "I think people with cell phones should be put in cages" in reaction to someone whose cell phone kept ringing.

Today in chours we watched the Tony profromances and all the kids likked DRS. My teacher also enjoyed it. I might be seeing the show again soon since school is almost out. Ony 9 more days left.

Billy Crystal was on David Letterman recently, talking about much he HATES cell phones during a performance, his reactions to the audience member responsible, and how utterly distracting it is.
Norbert's adlibs are priceless!
thespian geek: yeah, sure I'm biased, but to me the prettiest woman at the Tonys: Idina Menzel.

Broadway.com has updated its photo galleries. One is exclusively the DRS after party. Cute pics of Norbert! My favorite? Norbert & Idina. :)
BTW, re: Kelli O'Hara, I didn't realize she was dating Greg Naughton, who's a good friend of Sh-K Boom. Plus, Kelli's also worked with John Lithgow. I love how everyone is connected!

people are gonna go bizzerk. lol. when he came on when i went id be the loudest person clapping and there wasnt a lot of applause, gonna be interesting to see waht its going to be like later. the stage door is gonna be hectic 
oh well maybe the hype will die down by the end of the month..hopefully. lol.

Oooh...these pictures are definitely making my night! And you KNOW I've been saving them all to my ever growing folder full of Norbert pics!
Yeah, I can't wait to hear how his entrance applause is! I'd kill to be there tonight! When I went (back in March), there were only a few others besides my friends and I who were clapping wildly for him as he came out. Of course they all cheered insanely loud for him at curtain call though! He'll finally get the recognition he SO deserves because of this!
Man, I don't think I can wait any longer to see DRS again! My family and best friend are visiting NYC in late July (to visit colleges, but who cares about that right?) and I'm already getting psyched up to see it again. Sadly, it'll probably be the last time I'll get to see Norby in DRS since he's leaving in February, but that'll make it all the better!
This is off topic but, school's out for summer and I'm finally a senior!! WOO! Okay, I just had to get that out. But this means that I'll finally be able to keep up with this thread! Oh, and DRScoundrel, keep the pics coming! I love 'em!

when i first met him i was afraid to ask for a hug but i did get my pic! i felt really bad because my cousin decided to tell him that it was my birthday! and i was like oh god, and he wrote happy birthday on my playbill. i was like wow i feel bad and it wasnt even me who said it lol. he was so nice though and he took a pic! i think im gonna make the pic of him and i my avvy.
