I've seen Norb's acceptance speech 3 times thus far. I love it!
I probably would watch it more if I wasn't slightly irked that Norb was cut off.

Oooh, I love "Oh, my God, the whole thing turns!"

I also love the way Sherie/Christine says, "Who is the one person in the entire world you would most like to see at this moment?" and Norbert/Freddy's, "Um, grandma?" LOL!

And during Ruffhousin:

Lawrence: This little piggy says....
Freddy: Nothing

The "nothing" kills me, LOL

And when Lawrence/John is yelling, "Let's yodel!"

So.funny.

How about when John says--"I said "YODEL!"

When Norbs says "Sgt. Benson sounds so formal, please call me Buzz"--the way he says please, with that little southern accent--so sexy--and the way Sherie breathlessly replies " Ok, BUZZ".

Finally as Ruprecht, Norbs, when introduced to Jolene, says "Mother?" in the most adorable way.

Ok, enough obsessing for now.

The way he sings "Fresh Shaved Testicles" just floors me, as well as in GBS, when he says "I'll get my hatchback all pimped out!"

ive seen the acceptance speech about 5 times and great big stuff 6 plus. i watch it at least once every day after school, cant get enough of my norbie!!!!

NYadgal & cookie-I didn't mean you guys were old and stuffy, lol. But the times that I was at DRS, there were alot of suits and old stuffies in center orch. I can't get the image of Dan Rather at DRS out of my head. I was in the left orch 4th row and I kept looking back to see if Idina or any of the other Renters were there cuz they were in town filming that week. The only person I saw was DR, yuk!

I don't know how many times I've played Norbert's speech and the performances. My fave part of the DRS perf was "I want some really sh-nice crap!" And I wonder why he didn't slide down the banister at the end? As for the show, the entire Ruprecht scene is priceless.

I don't think he slid down the banister because it wasn't as secure as the actual set...just a guess...

I liked when he remembered at the last minute to change the words and said "really nice sh..crap" too. That made me laugh. Such a shame though that they cut it all up like that.

BGG-You didn't tape the Tonys??? Oh no! I watch the performances over and over between CSI commercials. Blood-and-guts to GBS to blood-and-guts to Piazza to blood-and-guts to Spelling Bee.

when he's all smiley when he said hummers in my hummer cuz he knows they censored it. lol. i thought it was adorable!

Haha! I love that part! "The fashion plate I date'll give me hummers in my hummer!" I also love the pimped out hatchback comment, "they held up that midget with krazy glue!", and on the dirty side, "I finally get my taste and it's going to my head, I mean the one below my waist!" It gets me every time! Oh, and you can't forget, "I mean come on! She gave me tongue!"

On last count I've only replayed his Tony speech three times, but my friend is coming over to watch it tomorrow so that'll be four! Mmmm...you can never get enough of Norby!

ainmama2001, can't help it...maybe Norbert brings out our "naughty" side!

On Broadway.com today, Norbert is the "main" graphic. "Get tickets to see Freddy" or something like that. Very cool! =)

Alejandra, I saw that last nite and thought it said "watch Freddy get ready" --as in a video that would show Norbs get prepared for the Tonys--instead of "Get Ready for Freddy"--so you can buy tickets.

I watched the Tony speech again---man, did he look cute! The look on his face as he approached the stage, he looked like an 8 year old who had just been given a new bike (so happy and moved).

Still like the "Spamalot" number, though. Have watched that as many times as the speeches (loved Bill Irwin's speech so much), since they're close together.

OT-How putrid was the Aretha and Hugh duo? He was classy, but she, true Diva, did not seem to grasp that Hugh was the one everyone was interested in seeing.

Hey wendy, I didn't care for Aretha either. Kind of a bummer considering she is considered a "legend" and all. But Hugh was fantastic, as usual.

Hugh is a class act, all the way..and so tall!!! Love that.

Back to Norb..DirtyRotten..I hope you win the DRS contest..think I read on the other thread you entered 75 times...does that include a backstage tour?

If it does ask Norbs (when you win) if he'd be open to converting to the Mormon faith so we can all marry him! (No disrespect to the Mormons.)

lol thanks! and ill ask him to convert to morman. i hope that i win! i wonder if it includes a backstage tour lol. they never even gave a deadline it just ended. lol. oh well ((fingers crossed)) theres enough norbie for all of us!!
