Thanks Ellie!

re: Official Oscar Thread

That was pretty terrible. I really didn't care for that song. The Academy is trying to be so eclectic with their Best Song choices. What was wrong with Old Habits Die Hard from ALFIE by Mick Jagger? At least it's catchy. It even won the Golden Globe.

John Stamos commercial - hot.
JOHN LITHGOW I just realized, your last name is Butz! Both "Norbert" AND "Butz" are in your name! You must have gotten picked on a lot as a child!

re: Official Oscar Thread

The best thing so far has been the Aquafina commercial with Karen Carpenter singing "Top of the World". What a voice!

re: Official Oscar Thread

So far, ALW"S song was the best. The others were not exactly toe tappers. Banderas looked like he was sleeping off a bender in a cheap fleabag hotel. My wife said the French one did not do it for her

Yawper, nope. That's coming in the fourth hour.

Natalie looks pissed but my god, do I love this gal. I wouldn't hop the fence, but I want to be her in a SWF kind of way.

re: Official Oscar Thread

I didn't like Beyonce's rendition of the POTO song.

The song is a sad ballad. She doesn't know how to sing a ballad. What was with the arm movements at the beginning. It was like she was trying to groove to the tune.

It's a sad song not a dance tune. There should have been melancholy in her voice...not attempt to search for places to riff.

Not a good "show" of the song.
Where are we going, and why am I in this handbasket?

I think I like the French song the best. The whole choir thing was nice.

John Kerry and Oprah? I don't get it. :X

ETA: I get it, but it's not funny.

I like Learn to be Lonely the most too.

Oprah looks stunned. Better than "Uuuumaaaa...Oooopraaaah." Suck it up.

TheGa - it's the whole him marrying "up" to a rich woman idea. Hilarious, right?

"Oprah looks stunned."

Somebody told me Oprah was a lesbian. Maybe that's why.

re: Official Oscar Thread

I much prefer the John Stamos commercial where he's half-naked which is quite hot, but that's just me.

So how did Ms Hype and Glam do on Learn To Be Lonely?? I willingly missed it since I can't stand her or her voice. Details details please?

What accent is this guy speaking with????

Boy are they really sticking it to The Passion of the Christ

Best score Finding Neverland ?- Of the 3 nominees for TPOTC, they should not have even wasted their time by showing up as they had no shot.
