re: Official Oscar Thread

And why did she feel she had to look like she just got beat up? The votes are already in, girl.

"Annette had a forced smile and applauded. I watched her when it was announced."

Annette Bening always looks like that.

Well... I got that one wrong. Annette was robbed!

That was the lest excited I've ever seen a Best Actress be when giving a speech.

re: Official Oscar Thread

YAY Hilary.

What's up with Catalina or whatever her name is?? Do people have to tell her to show expression. Every time I see her , her face is in the same blank expression.
I don't WANT to live in what they call "a certain way." In the first place I'd be no good at it and besides that I don't want to be identified with any one class of people. I want to live every whichway, among all kinds---and know them---and understand them---and love them---THAT's what I want! - Philip Barry (Holiday)

re: Official Oscar Thread

I was too busy typing my snark here - did she remember to thank Mr. Hilary Swank this time around?

And does anyone else think she was rewarded for the conservative uproar over the film?

re: Official Oscar Thread

2 Oscars for Best Actress, and is Swank even 30? Brava, girl, Brava!

re: Official Oscar Thread

It's a crime that Swank has two Oscars and Jim Carrey doesn't have one yet.

re: Official Oscar Thread

"Why didn't Hillary's designer have time to finish the back of her dress?"

Oh wait, I got it. So Annette couldn't grab the back of her dress and keep her from making it to the stage.

re: Official Oscar Thread

Rath, she thanked him first and foremost after acknowledging Kate. (And...not Annette.)
