It's all in perspective, darlings. Every show was good? I'll bet if you saw an episode of "Welcome Freshman" or "Hey Dude" today, you'd realize it was crap if you weren't blinded by nostalgia. I should know. I own DVD copies of almost the entire "You Can't Do That On Television" series. And I still think it's better than any kid shows today. But my nephew watched it and thought it was stupid and boring.
In 10 years, people will be on here starting "Dora the Explorer was awesome -- TV today sucks" threads, and you'll be rolling your eyes.

Fairly Odd Parents is pretty good too (if overhyped). Both shows have many jokes that even adults can like, so they aren't too dumbed down for kids. Basically, they play those 2 shows non-stop because everything else on the channel is garbage.

So -- are they the same? Let's examine. Both (well, all three) are comic relief characters played by actors who stayed with a franchise well past its prime to the point of embarassment. But really -- what else were they going to do?

Bulk and Skull. Wow. I almost liked them better than the Power Rangers at one point. I mean, they were stupid, but at least they weren't goodie-goodies like all the Power Rangers were in their high school.
Screech came to my college last year. He's doing stand-up now and almost all his material is about being on Saved by the Bell.
