I totally watched the original series with my little brother. And sometimes without him! That very first movie they made kicked ASS!
the original one? who is she (in wildfire)?
and, wondering, would you want a Power Rangers musical?
Oh, God. My brother made me watch this ALL the time.
Amy Jo Johnson .... Tina Sharp (4 episodes)
"Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers" (1993) TV Series .... Kimberly Ann Hart/Pink Power Ranger #1 (1993-1996)
If Power Rangers are "old skool," I'm a fossil.
Old school? This show started when I was in high school. You are NOT aging me that fast.
Old skool to young'un's like me.

All that proves, Lari, is that you are too young to use the phrase "old school" to describe anything you remember.
Bah, I'm an eighties kid. Don't banish me for it!
Not banishing anyone - just putting a little perspective on you.

Yes, because when you push the "old school" barrier back, some of us fall off the cliff.
eta: OK, quick. Which one should I pick?

Nah, I know I'm still young. Didn't mean to cause an uproar for my usage of old school.
Anyway, I remember watching Power Rangers when I was little. I don't know when it started, exactly... But I did watch it. Hm. I'm half-tempted to look up the dates.
When I was 3-7ish years old I was OBSESSED with the Power Rangers.
Obsessed.
All the way up until around '95 when Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie came out.
Then my interest went away.
but the old-school Power Rangers still are awesome.
1995 was when the movie came out? Okay, I wasn't interested in it anymore, by then. My little brother was, though...
I LOVED the Power Rangers... i was such a little boy back then, does anyone know if they sell like the original series on dvd or vhs... i would love to get those...
Okay, back in high school, my friends and I started a conversation on how awesome Power Rangers used to be during our physics class and it turned into an entire class discussion on how children's television peaked in the late 80s-early 90s.
I think Power Rangers started to lose its appeal after the first movie. The second movie was so awful, I don't know why they brought in that kid to do a man's work. The whole puff-up to adult-size was pathetic.
Has anyone else seen it recently? I saw it a few times this summer when I was up early. Tommy is back and he's now a professor and in charge of the Power Rangers. He looks exactly the same as he did then. God, I was such a Tommy/Kimberly shipper back in the day.
TheHumanTorch, they have released at least the first season of the show on DVD.
Kids television DEFINITELY peaked in the late 80's through the early 90's.
Kids' shows back then were awesome.
But today's kids' shows are crap. It's a shame where Nickleodeon has gone. All downhill.

Nickelodeon is beyond downhill. It has fallen off the cliff and is slowly falling into the oblivion that is generic pop-culturish crap.

If you care to know, MTV got new owners (MTV owns Nickelodeon) and they are screwing up everything.
I never did watch Power Rangers but I was obsessed with My Little Ponies.
It's safe to say I was obsessed. Pretty much all through the movie, power rangers ninja, and zeo. then they kept changing like once a month and I no longer had any interest in keeping up with it. but I've seen a few episodes of the new one just recently because Jason David Frank is back as Tommy which I thought was odd... so I watched an episode.
Ugh, I know! There's a facebook group at my school about Old School (their term, not mine Rath) Nickelodeon fans. Back when almost every show on the channel was good, no matter how old you were. My friend actually has the Salute Your Shorts theme song on his iPod.
Oh, but back to Power Rangers, I checked again and most of the original shows are only available on VHS, but some people are selling them on DVD on ebay.
