I feel sorry for the girl in video #1. :/ She just seems so excited.

As for the second girl making Anthony sing... wow. She's an idiot...lol. Poor Anthony. I watched about 5 seconds and had to stop.

I can't quite believe, after all the pile-on condemnation of that girl, that more posters from BWW (not necessarily those posting in this thread...) don't see a bit of themselves in her. I've read the Rent/Wicked/Brooklyn stage door/book signing threads, and it's not difficult to picture a myriad of similar behavior occurring frequently.

As for Anthony, she is one of the more enthusiastic members of his fanbase. It's probably not all that different to him than a lot of the posts in the "Anthony Rapp posts here" thread (or whatever it is called...) that place amplified importance on what he likes, eats, wears, and says, etc. That's gotta be a little creepy for him, too...even though I'm sure he appreciates the support of his fans.

I cannot imagine myself making Anthony sing with me like that. How awkward. I love him to death, but, no. The first one wasn't as bad I thought. Just looked like they were having fun. But the second one... awkward.

I feel sorry for the first girl--she was just having fun and you can probably see that same thing at nearly any Rent-related event--but that second girl is just scary.

He'll be a *great* dad. One thing his fans are good for is lots of practice with patience and tolerance

I have to give credit to the girl who asked him to sing with her because there's no way in a million years that I would have the guts to do it.

As for the girl in the first video, yea, I do feel bad for her, but who hasn't embarassed themselves singing in public before? I know I have.

I don't get what's so bad about the first one, really. She's a little spazzy, but hey ... so am I.

I can't watch that second one completely through though. It's just ... too hard. So awkward. I feel uncomfortable just watching it. I can only imagine how weird it was in person ... Anthony has so much patience with the fans. Wow.

Anthony looks so uncomfortable. The main thing that bothers me about this video is... how many other insane fans are going to see it and think, "Anthony will sing with ME!"? Of course, he should have just told her that he couldn't do it. I can't ever imagine imposing myself on an actor like that, though. I'd struggle to even get out, "It's so nice to meet you."

Wow I bet that girl who was singing is lurking on here looking at what everyone posted about her. I hope we don't hurt her self-esteem too much but I mean seriously if Anthony Rapp was watching her I bet he would have either hid when it was her turn to get her stuff signed or called security.

As far as the girl in the first video, I don't get it. It doesn't seem so starnge or unusual to me that ateenaged girl would be acting silly, singing in a crowd and carrying on in that way. I see kids playing around like that in public all the time. Maybe I'm missing something.

Also, Iflit makes a good point. It really isn't any difefrent from the fan threads. In this acse it was just vide taped instead of written out on a message board.

People are so damn rude. That second video bothers me - it's like she's using him for her personal amusement, so she can go home and tell all her friends that Anthony SANG with her. Go harmonize with the CD.

You all say that Anthony looks so uncomfortable in the 2nd video, now I can't say I know hime and maybe that's what he looks like when he's annoyed, but he didn't seem bothered to me at all. Apart from that the girl does have a pretty voice and it was probably the highlight of her life to sing with him, however rude it was to suggest it
I think he'll survive, and it probably made her day!
