Yeah, I have them blocked so I just keep getting the notification, but it's just such a ..... regressive thing to do, isn't it? "What can we do to bring our website into the late 20th century? I know! Pop-ups!"

I still don't get why their mobile site is called "BWW Wireless," but that's for another thread, I guess. One that I won't be accessing from their "wireless" site.

I can't even pretend to know how these things work, but I assume it's a simple matter of revenue. I wonder, though, if enough people stop visiting as frequently, would the dropping 'page hits' lead the ad sellers to not make them available?

I would think at this point anyone who is even remotely savvy would have blocked the pop-ups. It's just funny that they are introducing them so late in their tenure.

I have them blocked, but keep getting that bar that pops up to tell me they've been blocked - and when it does, I end up clicking on something above what I intended.

Firefox's pop-up blocker has a choice that says something like "Stop seeing these notices when pop-ups are blocked on this site."

I have pop-ups blocked. I didn't get the yellow bar at the top. I simply clicked on the picture for Leap of Faith and got the pop-up instead. But I do remember that at first I clicked on the text below the picture and got the pop-up. I went back and clicked on the video picture and got the video.

I just removed BWW from by pop-up permissions.

It is as though BWW is trying to get people to go elsewhere.

It sucks.

I recently downloaded it onto my Droid and every time I rotate my phone, it sends me back to the home page.

So I don't use it. :P

Yeah, I can make about one pass on the "wireless" site (isn't wireless how I route my internet at home? Shouldn't it be Broadway World Mobile?) before it dumps me back on the regular web page.

I have the main board for the mobile site bookmarked so I can get back to that format. Not a permanent fix, but it does make it easier.
