The more it snows,
Tiddely-pom,
The more it goes,
Tiddely-pom,
The more it goes,
Tiddely-pom,
On snowing.
And nobody knows,
Tiddely-pom,
How cold my toes,
Tiddely-pom,
How cold my toes,
Tiddely-pom,
Are growing.
He sang it like that, which is much the best way of singing it, and when he had finished, he waited for Piglet to say that, of all the Outdoor Hums for Snowy Weather he had ever heard, this was the best.

I adore A. A. Milne's (spelling?) original books.
I adore the Disney cartoons that were made back when Walt was alive.
Once "The Tigger Movie" was made, the francise jumped the shark.

I love the original books as well, and always give them as a baby gift. (All children should be exposed to the joys of the Hundred Acre Wood!) =)
I had both the Tao of Pooh and the Te of Piglet in college. Read 'em all the time.
I also love the original Disney movie...I had the "long playing record" when I was a little girl, and would listen to it constantly. (For you youngun's, this was before the dawn of the VHS tape. When we wanted our dose of our favorite Disney movie, we'd actually sit and listen to a vinyl record that had narration in addition to diaologue and songs from the movie and read along with a book that came with the recording.)
Anyway, people have been calling me "Tigger" off and on since I was a kid.
The wonderful thing about tiggers
Is tiggers are wonderful things!
Their tops are made out of rubber;
Their bottoms are made out of springs!
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,
Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun!
But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is
I'm the only one!
Oh the wonderful thing about tiggers
Is tiggers are wonderful chaps!
They're loaded with vim and with vigor;
They love to leap in your laps!
They're jumpy, bumpy, clumpy, thumpy,
Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun!
But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is
I'm the only one!
Tiggers are cuddly fellas.
Tiggers are awfully sweet.
Ev'ryone else is jealous.
That's why I repeat and repeat:
The wonderful thing about tiggers
Is tiggers are wonderful things!
Their tops are made out of rubber;
Their bottoms are made out of springs!
They're bouncy, trouncy, flouncy, pouncy,
Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun! Fun!
But the most wonderful thing about tiggers is
I'm the only one!
Oh I'm - the only one!
Yay!

Piglet sidled up to Pooh from behind.
"Pooh," he whispered.
"Yes, Piglet?"
"Nothing," said Piglet, taking Pooh's paw, "I just wanted to be sure of you."

Posted: 4/21/06 at 12:07pmSee, they should never have shown what a heffalump looks like. That's like tacking an ending onto "The Lady or the Tiger." It's almost as bad as when Snuffy actually began to exist outside Big Bird's imagination on Sesame Street.

Posted: 4/21/06 at 12:13pmI agree... I had actually never 'seen' one until I was googling just now and found it.

since we're on the topic of these shows, can you help me out?
I believe it was around the time of "Dumbo's Circus". What's the name of the cartoon where they're half one animal and half another. I think one was "Bumblebear", half bee half bear.
It wasn't "The Woozles" was it? And if not, what is that show?
Also, anyone remember "The Nuzzles" (I think it was called that) where 2 koala bears (stuffed) live with this little girl but when nobody is around they come to life. They eat eucalyptis (spelling?) leaves off of the tree outside her window. I swear I'm not crazy! This show existed but nobody I know remembers it.

These quotes are great! I love Pooh, but Tigger has always been my favorite. I was a very bouncy little kid, so I used to get called Tigger. :)

Jyn--the Wuzzles!
Two times the fun
Wrapped up and rolled into one!
Is it sad how much I know/remember about these old shows I watched when I was little?
I love Kenny Loggins' "Back To Pooh Corner."

I always watched "Pooh Corner" when Disney had free weekends. Man, that was before Disney became part of basic cable...

I loved that show!! I would watch it every day before I went to kindergarten! Ahh, the days when kids' shows weren't crammed with "lessons"...
