I can't believe no one has posted this yet.
Apparently, the adorable Chinese girl who sang at the opening ceremony was lip-syncing in the place of a less attractive Chinese girl who was originally supposed to sing.

Well the cuteness thing is a true shame, but I thought it was blatantly obvious the girl was lip-synching on TV.

I think the cuteness thing is a real shame too. But hey, if that's the way the a-hole music director sees how a child singer should be on camera, then so be it. What goes around comes around. Soon Yang (who is already adorable) will get older and have more fame than Lin, who'll probably join some talentless girl group like the Pussycat Dolls.
