Ack, Johnny was lacking, alot.
It was just an emotionally detached performance. I mean, even HE seemed bored. He's gotta stop wimping out on those jumps. Damn Johnny, just GO FOR IT!
Kate, how did you see it already?
I was following the results online as well. While I'm disappointed at Johnny's performance (especially after telling the world he's so wonderful for a week) I am very very happy for Evan and his bronze medal. Hooray for him!

It was on about an hour and a half ago here...
Lucky you! I wish our media didn't insist upon everything important airing between 9 and 11 at night just for ratings!
JL a Canadian won bronze. Jeff Buttle.
Gold: Evgeny Plushenko (Russia)
Silver: Stephane Lambiel (Switzerland)
Bronze: Jeff Buttle (Canada)
I'm not a big Plushenko fan. He's just so emotionless when he skates.

eir blew it on the long program
Wow. He was really flat.
I have to give props to Plushenko.
I'm really surprised Weir didn't even medal.
I found it to be a fairly lackluster evening. My favorite skater of the night was Scott Sawyer. I think the Japanese skater has a lot of potential. Evan probably would have medaled had he skated a better short program. Johnny's program landed with a thud. Note to Johnny: change your music, it's a real downer.
Dottie, I have to agree.

I am in love with Emanuel Sandhu. So beautiful.
I was very sad Evan didn't get a medal. After the amazing comeback. *sigh*
That was the performance of the night, for me.

I love Johnny's music. He just needs to skate to it better, like he did last season at NHK Trophy.
You have to understand that Johnny skates his best to this sort of music because it suits his style very much. He didn't have the best performance, but if he had, this program would've sung. Believe me, you would rather see this than the up-beat crap he had at Nationals last month. I'm glad he went with a program like this because it was different from what the other guys were doing. I like variety and a depressing program gives us that.
Dice-K...so much potential...such bad nerves.
I posted a longer review on the other thread.
My roommate despises Emanuel Sandhu. He once wore an outfit that was a little too tight, and she's been against him ever since.

A little too tight...could it have been this one?
Possibly. She just saw him gliding across the ice, not sure the exact term for it. But he was kinda in a star shape (arms and legs spread), gliding around the outside of the rink, sticking right out.
And sadly, he's one of ours.

That move would be a Spread Eagle...
I don't particularly care for Sandhu. Or Plushenko. I didn't watch either of their programs. I thought Lysacek was great. As was Savoie, I've liked him for years and was thrilled when he made the team.
