Where was all the 'liberal media' coverage of this event? Did anyone attend? Did anyone else not know about it?

More people showed up to this rally then Glen Becks. This also had a more diverse crowd where Becks was mostly white people. Notice the signs and how different they are vs. the Tea Party signs.

The media barely covered it but the numbers were higher than Beck's hate rally.The difference is, if you scream loud and draw attention to yourself the media will cover it despite the fact that yesterday's rally had higher numbers.

I saw it covered, but I honestly think that the Stewart/Colbert rally for sanity is getting most of the interest.
I also am not a huge fan of Ed Schultz, so I am not inclined to really follow much of anything he does.

Ed spoke for about 7 minutes and that was it. Say what you will about Ed(and I have head issues with him in the past as well) but the guy's heart is in the right place.
I was gonna start a thread about this but passed. I think the Stewart/Colbert rally will be huge,especially if some celebrities attend like it has been suggested.

I'm talking about media coverage leading up to it. You know, like magazine covers and front page pics and headlines like the Beck rally received.

Ed didn't set up his on the anniversary of the MLK speech to provoke interest or put it in the summer.

I heard Matt Damon's name mentioned and Alec Baldwin.Still kind of early though.
I could be wrong, but I thought this rally was thrown together at the last minute. I think Ed announced on his show this rally a few days after Becks,who had the date saved for his months in advance.That could have a lot to do with it.

The Drudge Report is skewing the turnout of the rally, naturally, with their headlines.

Shultz threw this together after the Beck rally. I didn't think he articulated the purpose particularly well. I'm surprised anyone attended. It's always hard to get people worked up when their party is in power. It sure pissed off my local republicans, tho so I am ALL for it.

Drudge also claimed there were several hundred thousands at Beck's rally(plus he bragged about the numbers at a rally where Jon Stewart caught Fox using footage from another rally and Drudge never once retracted or corrected his mistake)
