how did I miss this thread????
We make time for what we like to do. I love to read, so I make time for it. Maybe that takes away from my photograhy, my learning Spanish, etc.....but I make the time.
And now, with traveling more, I get books on cd and listen to them in the car, which is a shabby second to actually holding a book and reading it

Of those who do read: How many books do you have going at once?
I tend to crank out a book in a day or two. My son currently has three or four going at once, reading a chapter or two from each every couple of days.

Kelz, I used to have 3-4 going, but now, one at a time, with sometimes the rare 2 at a time.
Right now I am re-reading (make that listening to the book on cd when I drive) Wicked (STOP laughing everyone) and also reading a book on the sex-live on Queens (real ones)through history.

Posted: 10/16/07 at 9:54pmI usually have two or three at least at a time -- one for at school (where we actually force the kids to read - HORRORS!), one for around the house/taking with me to wait at the DMV etc, and usually another in the bathroom. I may not be the world's fastest reader, but even with things like TV, theater, movies, the internet, a social life, and my feeble attempts at writing taking up a LOT of my time - not to mention grading all those papers - I still find time to read at LEAST a couple dozen books a year. No wonder I'm so smrt.
