I hope they can get the mayor of Quahog, Rhode Island to do some commentaries.
OMG!!! Fantastic news!!!!!!
Can't wait for details...I hope there are some audio commentaries!

I'm hoping it comes out on Blu-Ray. Adam West,Yvonne Craig,Julie Newmar, and Burt Ward still do conventions and special appearances so I would hope they would be actively involved.

Yeegoddamnhaw! Now I can behold the genius of Julie Newmar and Victor Buono without having to search for them on youtube!
It will be mine. MINE!
I hear they're planning on both Blu-ray AND DVD sets, according to some sites.
Yay for Batman in HD!

Oh GOD let this not be a vicious joke.
The window cameos were always a favorite of mine!

The window cameos are the best! Always surprising, sometimes strange and the bizarre body positions making it surreal ha ha
I grew up watching this show in re-runs on Nickelodeon. The window cameos never registered with me, but now I'm excited to rewatch as an adult.

All those dreadful jokes you never got as a kid (Victor Buono's King Tut referring to his moll as his Aswan Damsel), and all the sexual innuendo you never got as a kid. Check out Julie Newmar's unbridled lust for Batman in a couple of those episodes, her joke about having one's cake and eating it too is just not to be believed!
Liberace as Chandel was priceless. Never before have I seen such God Awful acting and watching it is brilliant! Love this scene. Batman always gave these absurd explanations on how they escape. After a while you just play along and think, 'Yeah! Of course!'
Typical scene. "Lets burst in and Bag those Birds!"

I think the movies are fine, but I love my campy Batman!

... And the supposed controversy about Robin filling out his tights a bit too well.
I would have to find it, but there was a one hour tv documentary about the series some years ago (another epidose covered The Munsters)... I know it is on YouTube... But they show the screen tests for Adam west and Burt ward, both apart AND together in costume as well as the identical screen test for the two actors were not cast. It was amazing how different it could have been.

That show made me gay.
Between Batman, Robin, and Captain Kirk, my fate was sealed.
Don't forget about the Merm as Lola Lasagna!!!

I am very excited about this. I was visiting a friend of mine in Seattle last year, and we went to the Emerald City Comic-Con and sat in on a live interview with Adam West and Burt Ward. Ward told a very interesting story about his audition process for the role of Robin.
Basically, when Ward got to the audition/screen test, he was never told what it was for. The script didn't help either because it just said Dick and Bruce. It wasn't until he saw Adam West in his costume that he was able to put two and two together. And, the rest, as they say, is history.
Me want this for Christmas!
