Haha, yes. Not my favorite scene in the movie, but certainly a memorable one.

You can't PM the spoilers?

It's nice to click on the next page and seeing the whole thing splashed out for us like that...

Notice the words "Spoilers" with a bunch of "***" when the spoilers were being stated first.

I saw the movie last night and I, personally, thought it was brilliant. It played with the horror movie cliches much like "Scream" did, toying with the audience for the entire two hours very effectively. Isabelle Fuhrman is arguably the scariest horror movie child (well... not a child) EVER. Or at least right up there with Damien, Samara, and Regan. The things she does are beyond comprehensibly horrifying (that scene with the vice in the garage... WTF?!?!?!?!?) and the things she says ("You pissed yourself.") are equally venomous. I've never been in a theater where people were so into the movie that they actually cheered (and not in that obnoxious way) when her plans were foiled.

Out of all the possibilities I could think of for the twist, what it actually is is the LAST thing I would've thought. I didn't look into this movie any further than watching the trailer and I'm glad I didn't. This movie really took me by surprise. Not just in it's twists and turns and terrifying imagery, but in it's quality as a horror film. If you're expecting cheap "BOO!" scares and some Satanic tie-ins, you'll be sorely disappointed. But if you want a movie that really gets under your skin and genuinely plays with your fear, this is it. What a surprise. But I can definitely see many people finding it laughable and a "piece of crap." I found it refreshing in the sea of cookie-cutter horror films of recent years.

Is it September? The dates say 7/27/09 on my end.
I saw this on the big screen and I actually loved it. I thought it was really fun, kinda scary, and kinda stupid. I thought the girl who played Esther was really good. I clapped, screamed and cheered. WOO!

I had a blast seeing this with my younger cousin and was actually clenching the arm rests worried about Maxi! She was adorable!

I watched this a couple of days ago without reading the spoilers and just found it so-so. Mildly creepy, but not scary or very suspenseful. I think a supernatural element would have been a little more interesting. But except for the "twist", it mostly played out like any other variation of the usual creepy killer kid films. The girl who played Esther was quite good, though.
