"I don't know how I will do but here goes."
I couldn't get through that second line.
And I hope she's got permission to use that registered term of 'OSCARS' on her site.
I'd hate to see her shut down.
I'm afraid i had to report her to AMPAS.
Julie Halston for Best Actress. Harvey Fierstein for Best Actor. The Bad Idea Bears for Best Supporting Actor and Actress.
FYI I still have the infamous John Kander interview. Managed to save it before it was taken down. Like any classic it deserves to be revisited.
I just...wow. Corine always manages to outdo herself.
And Dame, please post the interview! I could do for a good laugh.

Yes, DAME, please do!
Does she have live red carpet coverage on her site? I don't see anything there and it's about to start!!!
It is on my hard drive. Have to upload it. Will do it soon. It is all in the timing you know.

I don't want to rush you Dame, but RUSH!
That interview is like Sophie's Choice. It's incredible and everyone should see it but it's so disturbing, I couldn't watch it twice.

We'll all be eating our words when Corine replaces Regis.
CORINE AND KELLY!

I still haven't recovered from being unfriended...

Has anyone bothered to tally how many of her "picks" became winners?
Not sure who Corine is, but I'm intrigued by this John Kander interview...did it ever materialise?
Broadway Legend Joined: 5/15/03
Oh yes, it materialized, but once it was posted here at BWW, people justifiably tore it to shreds. It has since diappeared from the internet.
I'll never forget the look on Kander's face when Corine kept giving the wrong name of a performer even after Kander gently corrected her.
It's time for it to re-materialise! I need to see this!
Coco is annoying, but she does on the rare occasion ask decent questions to her interviewees.
The Kander interview was just so embarrassing though. He was very gracious to Coco despite the fact that she clearly had done zero research when preparing her questions (assuming she even prepared any questions before hand).
What made you search for this thread Jay Lerner-Z?
tazber, I was searching for something else entirely and somehow stumbled upon this. Being a devotee of Kander and Ebb, my curiosity was piqued!

To give you an idea of how gifted Corine is as a writer, here's an article she did for BWW. Oddly, her name has been removed from the bi-line.
Viva Italia
Is the John Kander interview the one where she refers to 'Scottsboro' as being the FIRST K&E collaboration, or is that another one? Oy.

Who was the singer whose name Coco flubbed? Kander corrected her and she came out with the wrong name a second time!

Bertha Klitt?
Oh yes! I remember that one! She completely massacred Eartha Kitt's name!
She called her Aretha Kitt, didn't she?
