The Dame is the only Actress in the history of the Academy Awards to receive 6 Oscar Nominations all over the age of 60.
I can't wait to see her latest Oscar Nominated role
Anymore Oscar Trivia?
I was thinking of who has nominated in the most decades: Jack and Kate have both managed 5 each--anybody (actor) beat that?
I don't really understand the question, dogs.

I think he means which actor/actress have received the most nominations in the course of a single decade. Is this correct, dogs?
I tought so too, but Kate Winslet's 5 nominations didn't occur in the same decade...so i'm confused.

Maybe Kate Hepburn? As in five DIFFERENT decades?
No--the actors who have received noms in the MOST decades, ie Jack--60s,70s, 80s, 90s, 00s....
OOOOOH.
I understand now. I thought you meant the MOST nominations within a decade.
HAHAHA.
I can think of a bunch of 4s, but not not more than 5.
There are alot of fours, but Kate and Jack are the only fives that come to mind...

Just looked it up and you're correct. Hepburn received nominations in the 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s and 80s. What a career!
Jack's tied her, don't forget...
Another little tidbit: Even though Sophia and Roberto got nominated for foreign language films, they aren't the only ones who won for foreign language performances: De Niro only speaks one line in English in GODFATHER II.
I was also thinking about the foreign actors who've received more than one acting nom:
Liv
Marcello
Isabelle
Sophia
who else?

"Shortest performance that garnered an Oscar in a Lead category-Anthony Hopkins, Silence of the Lambs (15 minutes of screen time)"
It's unbelievable that that's all the screen time he had - talk about impact!
Marty is also the only Best Pic to win the Palme D'Or at Cannes.
Whose is the longest performance in the supporting category?
Juliette Binoche? (Damn you, Harvey Weinstein, for robbing Lauren Bacall of her Oscar.)
Good question--maybe Connelly in ABM, Zeta-Jones in CHICAGO, Burns in TSB, I don't know for sure
Longest in supporting? Probably Timothy Hutton in ORDINARY PEOPLE.
Henry and Jane Fonda are the only father-daughter Oscar winners for lead performances
Judy Garland, Liza and Vincent and all received Oscars.
Also Peter Allen, Liza's-ex got an Oscar

The Hustons are family honorees, as well.
AC126748: Tatum O'Neal was 10 when she won the Oscar. Still, that makes her the youngest, since Anna Paquin was 11 when she won hers.

Diane Keaton has 4 decades of oscar nods on her resume, and they're all for leading actress.
