I just put in a dvd and saw a trailer for this movie PASSENGERS which supposedly came out last fall but I've NEVER heard of it. It's coming out on DVD soon and it looks really interesting. Has anyone seen this or even heard of it?

I saw it a few months ago and it wasn't very good.
There is a bootleg floating around on the net of the entire film, though not in the best quality. From what I hear they are just going to release it direct-to-DVD pretty soon.
I do remember it being in theaters briefly. I saw the trailer recently as well and it looked like a Final Destination rip-off.
I guess it had a VERY limited run late last year, but I have no idea where it played. It's nothing like Final Destination though.
Everyone who survives a plane crash begins to "disappear" one by one.
Which movie am I describing? Final Destination or The Passenger?
Final Destination was about a teen having a premonition that the plane would crash, so those who got off before it crashed were hunted down by "death" and killed one by one.
Passengers is about a grief counselor looking into a coverup in regards to the survivors of a plane crash who start to go missing.
The only thing they have in common is the fact that they involved a plane crash. One is a horror movie, and one is a drama/thriller.
It also resembles another movie very closely. I won't name the film b/c that would spoil this one, but the convention has been used more times than than a middle-aged hooker.
Anyone can PM me if they want to know what movie I'm referring to.
Hmmmm....Yes.

Is Passengers the one where the guys sees a giant invisible rabbit?
No, it's the Antonioni flick starring Jack Nicholson.

OH I LOVE that one! So does Ann Hathaway play the grief counselor or one of the victims?
She plays the girl Jack picks up after he steals the other guy's identity.
She's very convincing.

You know I think I saw this one. At the end you realize Jack Nicholson died in the very beginning of the film, right?
Jack ends up being caught and I think killed by the African warlord who the dude he stole his identity from was running arms for.

Patrick Wilson is a disaster. He has no range at all. There's a reason he keeps getting cast as these bland, powerless, impotent characters. EVEN in The Watchmen. He's a cipher. He's not acting, he's behaving.
