Hi, my roommate needs to decide in the next few days what school to go to! She is an amazing actress and she has to make a choice for where she is going to go next year, like, now...her options are taking regular academic classes at a ho-hum expensive school, or going and being the awsome actress she is at Columbia.
I think she should go to Columbia, but we need more info. Does anyone know the tuition? It says 16000/year on the website, but in her aid it said something like 36000...does anone know the real price?
Also anything else would be great. How do you guys like it? Or should she just take improve classes???
THANKS SO MUCH!
if she's an amazing actress, I think she should go somewhere else rather than columbia...
As you probably know, my fellow DePaul student (who doesn't return my PMs), Columbia doesn't have the best reputation, but if she wants to stay in Chicago and do theater it's really her only option (I'm gathering that she was cut from the DePaul BFA program?). She can also get a gen. ed. degree at DePaul and still take theater courses at Act One or another studio in the city.

We know about the reputation, it's kinda an emergency situation for next year (which is in 3 weeks) and I was just seeing if anyone who went there knew anything.
Thanks though...
Do you happen to post on College Confidential as well?
