Chenoweth was having a weekly competition with Chi McBride to see who could be the most brilliant in each episode. It's the best role I've ever seen for her.
So there goes one of the most gorgeously shot and designed shows on TV, not to mention the funniest and most poignant. Sometimes I really resent the rest of the viewing public.
plum, if we were not so busy being entertained by "are you smarter than a 5th grader?" we would be hurt by your resentment.

They will all be eligible for Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for this season, so at least we have that to look forward to. Wouldn't that be a sin if Chenoweth, (or any cast members) is nominated and wins for season 2?
ABC is getting rid of PD and ES, but they are keeping the medical drama where a main character is boning a ghost? Grey's has so jumped the shark that they are thinking of renaming the term to something Grey's related. This is just sad. ABC is shooting themselves in the foot.
Haha! I so agree with that. Yeah, actually now that you mention what ABC will keep on, I think I'm going to be done with week night television sooner than I thought.
I liked all of these shows, what will be on TV? I don't like any of the new shows on any network.
I'm beyond ticked at this point! The first time I get into tv in a while, and they cancel what I watch (as usual). Pushing Daisies made Wednesday my TV night. Guess what ABC? I'm not going to invest my watching in anymore of your shows---you wouldn't know good if it crawled up your...
Dirty Sexy $$ was one of my guilty pleasures. Oh well.
This is devastating news.
To me, "Pushing Daisies" was just as good this season as last, if not moreso. By the same token, I feel like if the show would have last more than another season or two, the charm would have worn off, but that is no excuse to kill it off when it is still at the height of its creativity. The show will end with some amount of closure to a certain long-simmering storyarc, but not the show in general. But we WILL be seeing closure in another form, probably comic book. Still, it won't be the same.
On the other hand, I spoke with Eli Stone creator Marc Guggenheim, and he said that the show hasn't officially been cancelled yet, because there is an order for four more scripts still standing with ABC and that, if ratings improve in the next eight weeks, a miracle could happen. I'm hoping so, because for my money "Eli Stone" (along with "Chuck") has the best ensemble on television right now, and has been especially charming this season. And yes, we'll get closure with the final episode. So please Please PLEASE tune in, buy the show off iTunes, watch it on Hulu...whatever it takes. It is a fantastic production that should not be missed out on.
And wow, I wonder what @$$hole changed the thread title.

No need to wonder when you can just look back at each post thread. And voila! It's changed back.
I'm still pissed off about this, but I watched some Black Books and a nice dose of Bernard misanthropy made me feel better.

Now that Robert Taylor has weighed in I feel comfortable saying that this is devastating news. Devastating.
Also, alot of people think moreso is oneword. And storyarc too.
One and a half stars!
bdwaygirl - I totally agree. I mean it's still sad but after a while I didn't even feel like making an effort to watch the episodes online if I missed them airing.
And Robert Taylor - papalovesmambo changed it.

The nation needs closure, dammit.

Grade C for Closure
I thought grade C was for cancelled.
I'm ready to weep over Pushing Daisies. They can't even let it finish out the season? Just to tie up loose ends?
I love it so much.
