Has anyone ever been to a restaurant called "Roger le Grenoille"
(Roger the Frog). I had sensational frog's legs there and the atmosphere was truly off-center.
I went there in 1976 and haven't been able to find it since.

Brings to mind a cartoon from National Lampoon. A couple is sitting at a table & out of the kitchen doors comes a frog on a folly pushing himself along
You had to be there. Seriously, a great restaurant that was in Paris in the 70's when my wife lived there was still there when we went back in the 90's .You can get great cous cous at Chez Berbert

"One of the advantages of the Eurostar is that you arrive in the heart of any city you travel to. Airports are usually a considerable distance from the city center."
and one of the disadvantages is the cost, especially when there are SO many low cost European airlines that fly between cities for as low as 9 Euros. Most airports are at most 30 minutes from downtown, with shuttles, subways, and busses providing cheap fare......and much less costly that the Eurostar.....

Posted: 6/6/06 at 5:03amThanks to this thread, I'll be flying from Nice to London next month on EasyJet. I've never seen an airline have such a variety of prices depending on the time the plane departs!

Posted: 6/6/06 at 10:15amdolly, isn't it amazing? There are so many airlines over there that do this. All future trips we do I'll start with those airlines first, as why spend money on Eurail passess if we can fly cheaper?

Easyjet has great prices indeed! Definitely check it out.
Mr. Roxy, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. There is a small, lovely restaurant on Avenue Emile Zola called Oh!Duo. Wonderful food, quiet little place. And the tarte pomme is simply heaven.
