"A special twelve-inch version was said to be the first 48-track disco mix ever made (only 300,000 copies were pressed as collector's items)"

How much could you get for it? I'm fairly certain I have that in my collection from my Disco Days.

I love hypocricy.

Look, people become celebrities because they hang out with other celebrities and magazines report about them. In this case, Paris Hilton got invited to a lot of parties becuase of her daddy's money and became famous for prolific sex and being "shocking" and "fashionable." Yes, she's done TV--The Simple Life, which used to be on a basic cable channel and now has been pushed back onto a cable network and is one of the most made-fun-of shows on television--she's done movies, a la "House Of Wax" which bombed incredibly, and now this album which makes Britney Spears look like Celine Dion. I go to coffee shops a lot and I hear a lot of great singer/songwriters and it pisses me off that they will never get to put their music that has worthwhile, heartfelt meaning, orchestration and vocals and people like Paris Hilton can get record deals because they have a ton of money.

I still hold that celebrities becomes celebrities because of fans. Let's say as you did that Paris "became famous for prolific sex and being "shocking" and "fashionable". Maybe that's how she got famous, ok, but look at her now. What's the most shocking thing she's done recently? She's kept fans because of her show and now music without the "shocking" escapades.

The show makes fun of itself for one thing. It doesn't try to be anything but silly entertainment. At least she's trying to go out there and do something with her life. She is going to WORK, and doing a JOB.

There is something admirable about a woman who continues to work in television, movies, and music when she has no reason to do so.

She is wealthy. Very wealthy. She needs no money.

She gets attention. Plenty of attention. Before her show, she was known simply for being an heiress/socialite. She didn't need to work for attention. She had it. Page 6. There hasn't been a time she has been out of columns and magazines, and that was before the show.

She publically says she has had sex with three people. That the oft-mentioned tape was a mistake. Whether or not this is true (I don't really care either way) is beside the point. She openly speaks against being "slutty." She isn't promoting any such behavior.

She is often at charity events, speaking about animal rights, and participating in other causes. Are her intentions purely selfless? I don't know. But again, so long as those organizations continue to raise awareness and funds, does it matter?

Is she a good role model? She's a good FASHION model. She has done runway work and presents herself much like many other models her age do in terms of how she dresses and carries herself.

Bottom line- is she evil? The downfall of civilization? Not so much. She's a girl who would rather work and participate in society than live off of the money available to her and live in luxurious obscurity.

And I second the comment about fans. People who don't sell albums don't get albums. People who don't sell magazines don't get magazine covers. And people who don't draw in viewers don't get TV shows. The show is going into its fifth year. SOMEONE is watching. She has never taken herself seriously. Just watch five minutes of the show to know it is a fabricated farce. But it's a funny fabricated farce. Because Paris understands that the caricatured image of herself on that show is funny.

The woman has no need to work again another day in her life. She keeps doing it.

Being famous for being rich is hardly new. But no one gets to be famous unless people are paying attention. Want her to go away? Stop talking about her. Infamy will get you just as many magazine covers as fame. The negative attention does just as much to keep her in the spotlight as the positive.

Blame yourselves.

PS - I liked the CD. It isn't going to win a Nobel Prize, but there are some catchy hooks.

Sorry, but just because someone doesn't have to work but they choose to do so doesn't get them any awards in my book. It's not like she really had a desire to work, so she decided to go to nursing school or something. She's a famewhore, pure and simple. The only reason she does TV, movies, and film(and whatever else) is because she craves fame, not because she has a passion for a craft. By contrast, Ivanka Trump could've gone a similar route, but she chose to go to college and graduate summa cum laude. Paris Hilton is a famewhore, whose only real passions in life are to party and shop. It's fine to be famous for being famous, but don't infester the entertainment business with your "acting" and "music".

But again, no one can "infester" the industry on their own.

If she isn't going to make money, they aren't going to use her.

House of Wax was a terrible film. Did more people go to see it because Paris Hilton was in it? Yes. Did they go to see her in it for the satisfaction to watch her get impaled? Some did.

Do the people making money from the film care about your motivations? No. Just that you keep paying attention.

Says nothing about the woman.

Have you seen the reviews of Stars ARe Blind on iTunes? It has, like, a star and a half. House Of Wax bombed, Paris Hilton or not. People don't LIKE her. Some people do, but not nearly as many as like other artists. And the reason she has become famous is because she's rich and she can afford to get herself a record deal. Don't think for a second that she got signed because of her "marketability" or her talent.

Paris sung happy birthday, to someone on television and her voice is comperable to how it sounds in recording. It annoys me when people just randomly accuse people famous for something else other than singing of digital editing when they don't what they're talking about. Other than that, I'm not a big fan of the rest of the album, but the single I like.

And The review on ITunes are complete crap, all of those people giving the single one star are just out of disgust for Paris, it has nothing to do with the single, as alot of them openly admitted in their reveiw to only listening to the provided 30 second clip.

I have NEVER met Cheyenne Jackson. I have never hung out with him in his dressing room, he did not tweet me, he never bought me a beverage, and he mostly certainly didn't tickle me. . .that is all.

Hey, I'm judging because her voice SOUNDS computerized. She has a very weak voice and she doesn't sound like she's really singing through most of the song.

And by the way, the person she was singing Happy Birthday to was Hugh Hefner. Owner of Playboy magazine. Need I say more?

Yes she sounds completly computerized. (sarcasm)
And is there something wrong with her signing to the Owner of Playboy, and what does that have to do with her music or her voice in general.

"They are not very good actors because, my and my best friends watch that show for laugh's."

Um, that's the point. They are supposed to be stupid to get the laughs.

"And by the way, the person she was singing Happy Birthday to was Hugh Hefner. Owner of Playboy magazine. Need I say more?"

Yes, actually I think you do. Paris has not posed nude for Playboy. And many respectable people have been included in Playboy, like Barbra Streisand and Bernadette Peters. While both were not nude they must not have a problem with the magazine itself.

And iTunes is hardly a good source to use. Anyone can add a review. Look at High School Musical, people gave that good reviews, and that should explain that.

Just beacuse they have writers and scriptors does not mean they are all fake. These "writers" often just place clips together, and make an overall "story" of the random reality footage they are given. I'm not saying that's what happened here, I'm just saying that's what is suppose to happen.

I do know what I am talking about. I work with ProTools and I can tell when a singer's voice has been significantly enhanced. Of course, even the best singers need a little help now and then with ProTools. But singers like Paris and Jennifer are ProTooled all the way through.

Back to my original question....

How long do you think it will be until the producers of "Hairspray" or "Chicago" sign Paris up for a role on Broadway?

"I also have the impression that her voice is heavily synthesized and her songs are as overproduced as any untalented pop singer's *cough*Rihanna*cough"

One thing I'll say for Rihanna, even if you don't like her voice, she does sing live quite a bit.

I'm not going to touch that, I detesh Riahnna, but she does sing live abit.

Honestly, I won't knock her in hairspray until I see it. I think a ditzy take on Roxie Hart would be quite interesting.
