Now she has a CD. It comes out on 8/22. It can be heard free on AOL.

Now that she is a singer/actrees, how long will it be until she is signed for a role in "Hairspray"?

Then she'll be in Chicago in London. Every Tom, Dick and Heiress has been lined up for that.
I listened to the album. My review can be read at my blog:

I was shocked because I also thought it was pretty good.
I liked the single "Stars Are Blind" and was really looking forward to hearing the rest of the album. Not all of it is going to knock your socks off, and one or two tracks are a little underwhelming, but like I said in my review, it's definitely an insight into Paris' world, with some of its intricacies and complications exposed and laid bare for us to listen to. And as I'm sure she expects some people to do, to judge.
And I like it.
And I'm happy you do too Jimmy.
Yeah it's amazing what they can do with computer programs and recording boards. They can make out of tune garbage sound like in tune garbage. What a waste of a life.
Well, I think it's a matter of a media-savy girl aligning herself with very capable writers, producers, and colaborators. I haven't heard the whole album, but I have heard Stars Are Blind, Screwed, and Jealousy. All are catchy and well-produced songs. The first single has been surprising well recieved. And I bet the song would be even more popular if you told people it was Gwen Stefani singing it.
Dismissing a song based soley on who sings it is like saying Some People is a bad song because Ethel Merman is too loud...
I've only heard "Stars are Blind" and I love it.
That's a good point.
Most people are looking at Paris with the "I won't like her album, it will be terrible" mentality, and I'm afraid that's terribly and disappointingly limited. Why limit yourself like that?
Then people listen to the album or even just the single, and are surprised at how much they like it.
Paris in Hairspray? That's hot.
Patronus' avatar? That's hot.
Do you love it?
Thanks wyou17!
I'm still in shock she had the brain capacity to write a book. Don't get started on her doing theater.

They'd have a teleprompter screen on the front of the balcony, with all the words spelled phonetically.
If this conversation can't exist on the merits of what she's done vocally, in specific regards to her CD, which is the grounds on which this thread was started, it doesn't make sense for it to exist at all.
None of us know her, and none of us have any right or personal insight into who Paris is off-camera, or behind the scenes.
Personally, I think that any woman who is able to use a small bit of celebrity and turn it into the money-making business that Paris has done is certainly not a dumb woman. Then again, that's my opinion.
I don't think she's dumb at all.
She might as well call herself Paris Inc.

Well said, MenzelManiac, I'll buy that.
i hate to say this but she's pretty.... not horrible
also not amazing, sounds like stuff they will play at high school dances... but of course thats also where you will still hear the macreana and the chicken dance....
If she did anythign live she would ge booed. I have listened to her single and didn't think it was that good and, in her video she was just acting like her sl*tty self.
To read uneducated posts like that one make me laugh. "If she did anything, she'd get booed." I, of course, have cleaned up the spelling and grammar a bit. Sometimes they get overlooked. The sentiment remains ridiculous.
"The video is just her acting like her sl*tty self." When you picked your name of "becoz_I_knew_you", was that in reference to Paris Hilton? Because the only way for you to make a comment like that, referring to who Paris really is, would be for you to actually know her. I don't. That's why I'd prefer to talk about her music.
It's too bad we can't all do the same.

"
That whole video was just her in a swim-suit kissing guys. Seem's like a slut to me becasue, of all the "tapes" she has made it make's me think she is a slut. You know she can't really sing without all of that stuff they can do with music these days. How does my screen name have anything to so with Paris Hilton? My screen name is from the song For Good from Wicked

All I have to say is
If you show me real love baby
I'll show you mine
The line "If you show me real love baby, I'll show you mine" repeats everyone's desire to find someone who will love them for themselves, and for no other reason than that. Paris has often expressed that she's looking for the same kind of love that every other person is looking for. She needs love and validation in the same way that any other person does; she's never held herself to higher standards than others in terms of finding someone to love her. She refuses to accept anything less than what she feels she deserves. Love.
And please, Becoz, double check your spelling and grammar before you post. And stop judging people. Your posts are so judgemental and so difficult to get through that it's almost impossible to figure out what your actual point is; when I finally do, I realize it's judgemental and then try to dismiss it and engage in intelligent conversation with the other members of this board.
