Good news 11! My coming out to my parents was almost identical. Except we didn't have internet back then. They have always been supportive, so I am very grateful to have such wonderful parents.

And technically, being out of the closet does not mean being gay, it means letting those close to you know you are gay. You most definitely can be "partially out of the closet". It just means you have not told everyone yet, only one or two people.

My stepmom is very open-minded and a gay activist. I told her that I was gay a few months ago and she said she already knew. The bad thing was, my dad was changing the shutters outside the window and heard everything. Luckily, he accepted it. Now, to tell my mom in NC. As you can imagine, it's a very bigoted area, so I hope all goes well.
