"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.” ~ Muhammad Ali

I remember seeing this one:

Peter Marshall: Is it true that Playtex has come out with a musical bra?

Paul Lynde: The hills are alive with the sound of music.

If anyone ever tells you that you put too much Parmesan cheese on your pasta, stop talking to them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Paul Lynde

Thanks, you two! Love these!

"Does standing a five-month-old baby on his legs make him bow legged?"

"No. You've got to push down on him."

Did the stars know the questions before or was Lynde's mind that fast? Some of the stuff he said was comedy gold.

Yes, they knew the questions.

Found a few more that tickled my funny bone:

According to the French chef, Julia Child, how much is a pinch?

Just enough to turn her on.

Dale Evans recently revealed the three secrets behind her happy marriage with Roy Rogers. Now listen carefully..."We work together, we pray together, and we're darn good..." What?

In the saddle.

In the early days of Hollywood, who was usually found atop Tony the Wonder Horse?

My Friend Flicka.

Some of the real-life stories about him are just as funny as the "Squares" stuff--like the time he got pulled over for DUI, and when the cop walked up to his car window, Lynde said "I'll have a cheeseburger and fries."

And then there's the infamous airplane story--which, according to his biographers, is true.

What's the infamous airplane story?

Paul Lynde

Why this name today?

I accidentally logged on to that account and posted. I created that account as a joke about 2 years ago and used it for about 1/2 a second to get on sue storm's nerves. I even forgot I had created it.

Not sure if this is what inspired Borstalboy to start this thread, but the anniversary of Paul's birth was just a few days ago (13th).

So, no one wants to share Paul Lynde's infamous airline story with me?

#16

Paul Lynde

Guess not.

PRS do yourself a big favor and don't interact with me or better yet block me. It's obvious you can't stand me and at this point I really don't give two flying f*cks. Your passive aggressiveness ways are f*cking lame. Grow a pair of balls and keep it real.

The airline story is easily googled.

"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."

"In Oz, the verb is douchifizzation." PRS

I didn't know about the airline story before, but I found a couple of mentions online. So, depending on the version, there was either a crying baby, or an unruly little kid running up and down the plane aisle, or a kid sitting in its mom's lap and kicking the seat in front of them.... and finally Paul Lynde, fed up, tells the mom that if she doesn't quiet or control the baby/kid, he's going to "f" it.

Oh, baby. Know what else is passive-aggressive? "So, no one wants to share Paul Lynde's infamous airline story with me?"

I can stand you. Part of me suspects you can't stand yourself, though. Paul Lynde

Girls, you are both pretty.

And Carlos, you know the "grow a pair of balls' line is very innapropriate.

Oh damn. You're right Diva. You know I honestly forgot. That was insensitive...even for me. I would never joke about something as serious as that.

I owe you an amends. I thought you had no self-awareness at all.

Back to the topic at hand...

Paul was VERY funny, but a nasty, mean person. Especially when he drank.
