That's why it was thrown out.

I guess there's just not enough to actually take the case to trial.

The person filing the suit wasn't "wronged." But if the African American workers would come forward and sue, either collectively in a class action or individually, they might have a case.
But if your neighbor or coworker was robbed, you would be able to press charges on their behalf either.
I always thought that part of it was weird anyway.
Still, I have seen a lot of buzz tonight about how Paula Deen wasn't guilty of discrimination, and this is all so terrible. See? She's innocent!!!
No, it just means the case got thrown out because the wrong person sued. Her sworn testimony is what got Paula Deen in trouble. Plus the long list of "alleged" injustices toward the African American staff.
Still, the entire wrongful termination case wasn't thrown out. Just the racial charges.

All the issues about the sexist & hostile work environment and sexual harrassment are things that are going forth in this case.
Rumors say that African American employees plan to pick up the racial charges....but we'll see.

But if they ARE true, and the African Americans don't pick up the ball, they are doing themselves and the entire cause of racial equality a huge injustice. Still, I know what fear of losing one's job can do to a person. This would be a bad time to be silent, though.

She can't sue for a racial injustice, because the N Word doesn't apply to white people, and she's white. But as dramamama611 says, she still has a case for a "hostile work environment" among other charges (the porno, etc.) in her wrongful termination suit.

so if whitey calls me a N i cant sue?
What about if i worked for Jay Z, hes fond of that word, if i worked for him and he called me a N i am not allowed to sue?

The problem is that if you're white, this list of injustices doesn't apply to you. You didn't have to use a separate "colored" entrance, and nobody called you the N-word, or suggested you dress as a house slave for a party.
Paula's career took a plunge because she (allegedly) did these things.
Jackson's race-based charges against Deen were dropped because Deen didn't do them to Jackson.
It's now up to the people who were the actual victims of these racial crimes to come forward and file a claim against her. If they don't, IMO, they are only contributing to the problem.

so according to you, you
1) see nothing wrong with Mel Gibson calling that cop bad words for Jews even though she wasnt Jewish?
2)If your boss called you a N even though youre white you would be OK with that?
3)If my boss called me a F*g even though Im straight, that would be OK?
you may want to rethink that
