The vote today in the house proves that Pelosi is no leader. She can't even get members of her own party to vote with her.
The vote today was essentially the impeachment and dis-empowerment of Pelosi. Her nasty little speech proved she is unworthy to lead.

However, in no way does that condone elected representatives putting their personal feeling ahead of their constituents and the country. Cantor blames Pelosi's speech for the bill failing, but says they now need to go back to the drawing board. If the problem was her speech and not the bill, what needs to be fixed?

Pelosi's speech obviously highlighted the flaws of the bill to such a point that many democrats decided to vote against the bill too. Pelosi must feel like an idiot. She is a total failure.
The real question is, can Pelosi get any bill through the house this week? The democrats need to dump Pelosi now and get down to business.
You know, Pelosi had the nerve to challenge Republican patriotism the other day. Now, it's on her to show her patriotism and resign.

I agree that you don't point out peoples' flaws when you're trying to persuade them to do something, but Nancy Pelosi spoke the truth. It is 8 years of this right-wing government that has led us to where we are now.
If you want to impeach someone, how about that Eric Cantor character? To actually point out that the majority of the republican congress voted NO was because of Pelosi's speech. What an idiot. Why now are republicans choosing to be overly sensitive over this, something that isn't to be treated lightly?

Yes she did! Agreed Pelosi is no leader but she did something I didn't expect from her. Those words stung and were heard by many. I don't know what her intentions were but whatever she did she really saved the day in my eyes.
Dennis Kucinich has been CORRECT about this financial crisis all along. This idea of handing George Bush and his team of charlatans a check for $700 billion dollars is utter insanity.
Clearly this issue needs to be addressed the idea that the American public is going to swallow this like they did the war is a stretch. Obama needs to check his notes and McCain needs to stop making predictions. According to him we should be in a "great depression" as of yesterday afternoon.

Concerning the Democrats that voted against this REPUBLICAN bill they are doing what their constituents want them to do. This is a heist and many Republicans AND Democrats agree on that point.
*And I will add economists are FREAKED out about this bill and do not agree it should be passed.

They are blaming Republicans for killing it.
90 of her people voted against her.
She is the most ineffective speaker in American history.
Don't forget: she vowed to end the war as Speaker. By her own standard, she is a miserable failure.
