What's your pet peeve?
I hate when I get stuck behind some bumbling old dear, who doesn't know where she's going and is moving so s-l-o-w-l-y and you can't get 'round her and she always manages to block you whatever way you move, until you feel like just pushing the bitch out of the way...

It doesn't have to be an old person, Ellie. Any time I'm in the theater district I hate being stuck behind couples who can't move any faster than a stroll, and people who find it absolutely necessary to stop and have conversations in the middle of the sidewalk, and generally all the damn tourists who won't let me go at a brisk walk. (Says the tourist.)

You know what else aggravates me? "Should of." It makes no sense. Should of? Should of? What the heck is that? If you must write semi-phonetically, at least have the decency to write should've.

Okay, rant over. For now.

You know what I hate? Sitting in the library, the one place on campus where you really expect some frickin' peace and quiet, and having to listen to some asshole conduct an extremely long and loud cell phone conversation with his mother outside.

Yes, I hate that. I also hate the fact that the guy sitting next to me felt the overwhelming urge to chew on his notebook paper. Ew.

When people are looking for something (such as a date or an email) while you're on the phone with them (work related) and they have to fill the silence with "do-do-do-do-do" or clucking noises or something like that.

The BKLYN radio ad with the screeching and the volume actually goes louder than the regular radio programming and all the other commercials and I have to quickly turn it down so as not to disturb my coworkers.

My biggest pet peeve: People who can't speak correctly. "I aksed you a question about where it's at." I want to strangle people like that.
But, my biggest grammar pet peeve is messing up "Good" and "Well". If I had a penny for every time I've corrected someone, I would be a billionaire.

When you are driving and trying to make a left hand turn where there is NO arrow and the person in front of you WILL NOT pull out into the intersection! I usually go around that said asshole and head into the intersection like you are supposed to! UGG!

And I HATE that brrrrrrrrttt sound that the new cross-country walkie-talkie phones constantly do. I want to punch those people. Just buy some damn minutes!!

Well, this is a regional thing, but Western Pennsylvania natives drop the phrase "to be." As in, "These dishes need washed" or "That video needs returned." None of them seem to notice it, but having moved here, it DRIVES ME CRAZY.

I also can't stand having eraser bits on a desk or table from a pencil. I HAVE to brush them ALL off.

My pet peeve are people who fawn over certain Broadway celebrities just because they know they're online, even though just prior to that, they were slandering them and calling them "too old" or what not.

I don't know if anyone knows what I'm referring to.
