Phone calls after 9 PM — Page 4

I would think it depends on the lifestyle you live. If people you know are aware you're available later, then that's obviously ok. We don't live like that, and those we socialize with don't either, so calls after 9 or so just wouldn't occur to us.

And I'm not sure I follow the conversation on the train thing. Are people just not supposed to talk? Or is it a loudness thing? Again, that's not really a part of our life, so I don't really understand the scenario. But I do wonder why anyone would be bothered by a phone call that didn't involve them.

i'm gonna want to say it's a loudness thing... i know that for myself, when i'm in a confined area, or in a place that's not really a "social" environment, i don't want to hear other peoples' conversations... it's like when i'm in a public bathroom... i don't want to hear your conversation... it's almost as if you're just showing off your life or like i mentioned in my previous post... just trying to be all cool in front of strangers... eh... i just don't like having conversations in public on the phone... and if i do then i'll do it in an area where i will be away from people...

i just think we live in a society where we really can't just relax and just take in what's around us... we have to be on the phone all the time, we have to always we working even after we get off work... what's wrong with turning off the cell phone for two hours when you watch a movie?? what's wrong with talking to the friends that you are with at the moment... why do you need to talk to someone else? just enjoy the moment...
