we didn't do much of anything in NYC either except shut down 2 lanes of Broadway.

I wass at the back of the pack, i didn't even know there was a stage til i saw one of the pictures in the Kate SHindle thread on the main board.

The first thing the news here led with was that we marched without a permit. Every screed on tv links protests with violence and mayhem. Gosh, I hate this liberal media!

You all should also know that we shouldn't be able to marry because of abortion. I tried to follow a logic of one of the bigots protesting on the other side of the street - before the cops stopped letting us mingle - as he said that he had a brother with Down's Syndrome and people abort kids with Down Syndrome. I said "At least HE can get married." Then he ignored me.

Chris got all wet from the rain, that's why I gave him my jacket~it was very warm that day 60 degrees. I made that sign~ cant think of anything...that's the words placed underneath our wedding band that, "LOVE CONQUERS ALL!" We got married 4 yrs ago in 2004!

I didn't see Arizona listed at all...but in Phoenix we had around 2000 folks turnout..

More victim talk. There has been inappropriate behavior made on BOTH sides. And both are wrong.

Argue the issue. But they truly can't. SO desperate. Lies and BS opinions won this for them. But lies will not stop the progress.

These photos are so inspiring. What a contrast to the UK. We have civil partnerships but full legal equality is years away. There is no debate about it. It is off the agenda.

Also.. there's a lot of straight people with their children who showed their support for nationwide gay marriage in Boston last Saturday.

at Boston's City Hall~which is considered as ONE OF THE UGLIEST BUILDING in the world (this and NYC's Port Authority are the only buildings in the US in the list!)

and lastly with the members of GLAD- A New Englad based legal group who's works includes victories to end discrimination based on sexual orientation, HIV status, and gender identity and expression.

Famous victories includes : take the lead on same sex civil union in Vermont (2000) and defended Goodridge & other couples in Mass. who brought the legalization of Gay Marriage in 2004 ( Goodridge vs. Public Health) Most of their legal team comprises of volunteers from Harvard Law School and Boston University.
