My dad died a day before Father's Day. This is always a hard time for me. We watched the Tonys and he passed away the day after. It was a very hot day in the year 2000.
8 YEARS ago and I still miss him terribly.

My thanks to all who shared these wonderful photos.
As I wrote in the 'moms' thread, I've truly enjoyed sharing this part of your lives.
A happy Father's Day to all of our fathers, and to all who are fathers!

My dad passed almost four years ago, but here is one of my favorite pictures of him, taken a couple of weeks before he died...
And this is one is old, and of the famous Jewish Santa, that visited parks in the LA Area:

Me and my dad at my mom's birthday dinner party last year. You can tell I'm drunk by the pink color of my cheeks, hehe, but my dad's adorable...I think.
I'm loving this thread!

My dad would hate me for posting a picture of him here, so I won't.
(Not that he can ever figure out how to click a mouse.) He's fun and tells terrible jokes.
He's a world traveler now that he's finally admitted he's retired. My parents just got back from Alaska and Vancouver. My parents honeymooned in the latter and hadn't been back since.

I don't have any pictures of my dad scanned into my laptop, but here are the pictures I found by Googling him:
This is the picture of my dad that appears on his work website. It looks like he visited Glamor Shots for doctors.
Both my parents and a family friend after travling to Iowa and going door to door for Obama last summer. This is one of my former Republican father's greatest accomplishments to date.
As his favorite Keith Olbermann would say, my father is one of the World's Best Persons

We're gearing up to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary in a few weeks, so I thought I'd post a picture in both the fathers and mother's threads.

50 years! That's wonderful, Stagedoor. They're really a cute couple.
I love all of the pictures posted here so much. For all of you who have the opportunity - call your dads and tell them you love them. Even if you've never done anything like that before. Even if he'll think you're crazy. Even if you don't think it's true. Don't regret one day not having told him when you could.
A click for life.
