At noon today, there will be a 13 minute video detailing McCain's involvement in the Keating scandal at www.keatingeconomics.com but until then there is a 30 video. That website is paid for by the Obama campaign.

That looks like a blood-in-the-water video.

Wonder if the media, which for years was friendly to McCain, will run with it or pooh-pooh it.

Between this, William Ayers, and Tony Rezko coming out again...this last month is going to be UGLY.

I just can't wait for it to be over, to be honest. It's all nauseating.

The Rezko stuff has never taken the media by storm because it's too racially tinged, but it could be much more damaging to Obama than the Ayers stuff: a (now-convicted) sleazy Arab businessman building substandard public housing with government grants, while funding Obama's early campaigns and personal real estate. Rezko was the major reason it was hard for me to switch from Hillary to Obama.

And Odinga, of course. But that's even MORE racially tinged, so it won't even be mentioned.

" McCain's ties to the Keating scandal:"

Calling it a "tie" to the scandal is a bit of a stretch. John McCain WAS part of the Keating Five. Without John McCain it would have been the Keating FOUR. This is no tie, he is part of the group.

Keep that in mind.

You know PJ if the Rezco stuff held any water Clinton would have won with it. Fact is it's a pathetic attempt at guilt by association.

"Rezko was the major reason it was hard for me to switch from Hillary to Obama. "

You've got to be kidding me? Really? That's the reason? What about Whitewater? What about Bill Clinton accepting a $10 million dollar donation from the Saudi Royals, a regime that supports terrorism in places like Israel?

Come on.

I don't want any of this kind of campaigning. It should be about the issues. But you have to fight fire with fire dammit so BRING IT.

Let's DO compare the Obama/Biden scandals to the McCain/Palin scandals. They will lose this dangerous game they are playing.

As was said in another thread, it's becoming clear that the primary battle was a blessing for getting all of Obama's possible skeletons done and over with.

Obama has had plenty of time to bring up the Keating Five. This business of associating him with terrorists to trying to tie him to questionable land deals or fund-raising are certainly worthwhile point to pursue but one cannot just make up stuff and spew it from a pulpit. Sarah Palin's words/lies are two specific and she is getting herself in too deep.

What's amazing about the Keating Five scandal is how RELEVANT it is given our current financial crisis. John McCain KNOWS this stuff because he was on trial for it.

And the other thing that should make everyone step back and realize about Obama is that sticks and stones DO NOT WORK with him.

Every avenue has been exhausted with the man and his family. His own wife was scrutinized for missing 9/11 memorial because she took her kids to school.

I think all scandals should be out there and the people should be informed but by truth and with journalistic integrity. Speak facts not hearsay.

That said, look at this would-be president. Barack Hussein Obama he is a marvel.

Can you imagine what would have ensued if Michelle Obama had been part of a whackjob secessionist political party, or if it came out that she was copied on official government correspondence or sat in on government meetings (as Lyda Green reported Todd Palin had).

Even better, imagine the scandal if Obama's daughters were a little older, and one of them was unwed and pregnant at 17.

It's really upsetting. Especially when you hear people like Bill Clinton complementing the woman. I mean I will be the first to say what she has done is incredible. Sarah Palin's story is unbelievable. She is a wonder. That said, her husband is guilty of treason.

mejust, to me it's a wonder she's being looked up to at all. Ambition and determination do not necessarily equal competence. She is a nightmare.

I frankly believe the use of Sarah Palin by John McCain's campaign is the most egregious form of sexism we've seen in US politics.

I find all these jokes and parodies a bit paradoxical because we are making fun of someone who is clearly under duress. She was "offered" the Ring and she took it. Who wouldn't? She is being held hostage and being used as a tool for an aging man and a dying regime. When all else fails use t-n-a. It's sexual harassment on the largest scale I can think of.

Sarah Palin is no dummy and I have a really hard time blaming the victim here. Whether or not she is "competent" was never a concern when she was chosen, anyone can see that. She was hired because she is a woman. Her career, her hard work meant and mean nothing to those bastards and to ridicule it now and not the guilty party is rather upsetting.

You guys all cried misogyny when people scrutinized Clinton. Well here it is for real. This is it.

She was hired because she is a woman.

She was hired because she is a Religious Conservative first, a woman second.

As a parent, I blame Palin for exposing her pregnant, unwed teenage daughter to this media scrutiny. She should have put her daughter first and passed on this train wreck of a campaign.

Do you really believe she had a choice? I really wish people would stop assuming this is her fault. I hear exactly what you are saying.

Look at Paljoey he even made a better point, but I would still argue she was hired as a woman. There are plenty of conservatives he could have chosen that were qualified. Huckabee would have been perfect.

She was forced into this mess.

I think the woman + religious conservative cannot be separated. There were more qualified women, and more qualified conservatives. She was the only one that met both, though she is completely unqualified.

As for choice, of course she had a choice. She chose to put her ambition ahead of her family.
