I am not a religious woman, but right now, I am praying for those in the path of these tornadoes.

So am I though I'm not religious either. I just recall what life was like growing up in one of NC's notorious tornado alleys inland from the coast.
The increased frequency and ferocity of these storms is becoming frightening.
I know.
And the level of powerlessness is just so absolute.
Good God

I'm watching it on the news now and I can't believe the huge expanse of complete destruction. Entire neighborhoods flattened. OMG. And they say they are smelling gas now.
Terrifying. Imagine that hitting a city.
The only good thing is this happened in the middle of the day and people had warning. But the devastation looks unimaginable. Hoping for the best.
The devastation I'm seeing is totally flattened. Nothing is standing. There is nothing left of anyone's life there.
They are reporting that they are pulling kids out of the flattened school alive on NBC.
Please, let there be little loss of life. That video YWIW posted was horrific! You KNOW the devastation being wreaked even at that distance.
WTF prompts folks in this situation to resort to looting?
I mean possibly there are bodies that haven't been discovered. My first reaction would be to account for the whereabouts of all my family members and neighbors. That's what I was taught to do as a kid in the aftermath of storms and it's stuck with me to this day.
Capitalism at it's finast. Materialism good!
Well, I am hoping those reports are somehow overstated.
Friends who have family in Oklahoma are OK, but the devastation is astonishing.
Oh shaite, the news of possibly 24 dead third graders has my nerves shot all to hell. I'm signing off for the day to hit the road.
Of course, by the time our POTUS visits the devastation those pesky miserable drones at FAUX News,et al. will be whining:
"What about the IRS, what about Benghazi?? It's all an election ploy, a diversion...uhhhh...doesn't anybody remember how he used Hurricane Sandy to win the election?"
Guaranteed.
I cannot begin to comprehend the loss of life, property and just the devastation.
Ck out these still photos - especially of some of the rescues, not viewed on TV. Unbelievable. Heart wrenching....

Heart wrenching? My heart actually sings with EVERY photo of a child or person being pulled out of that devastation alive! No matter how much terror is on their face!
So awful! Children drowned trapped in basement?! I'm weeping! Please let there be many more reunions!
At least 51 deaths, including 20 children.
Wishing strength to their families and the emergency personnel.
Bless them all. May they get all the help they need as they struggle to rebuild their lives.
Prayers for all who lost, and especially for those souls now departed.
Such a tragedy.
The death toll has now increased into the 90s.
I hope Oklahoma feels the love and support coming from everywhere.
Edit - fixed a typo. Source was the Oklahoma news feed I was watching.
