Private Messages

One of the glitches of the recent system 'upgrade' seems to be that most of all aren't able to send Private Messages.

Please check your settings, and even re-set them so that PMs can be replied to.

We'll have to start the 'glitch of the week' thread soon, if this keeps up!

ps: to the person who just sent me a lovely PM, I want to reply but can't as you aren't accepting private messages!

Click on your message link at the top left corner of each page and then type in the name of the person you want to PM in the box that says "Enter name to PM". That's been working for me.

That has been working in some cases, but not all.

I just received a message from someone and I tried to reply but got:

Sorry, This User Does Not Accept Private Messages

So, then I tried to type the name in directly, and that didn't work, either.

I was in touch with Rob earlier, and he fixed part of it, but there still appear to be some problems.

(So, to the person who thinks I'm not responding... I would love to write back, but I can't!)

Well, obviously it won't work if the person is not accepting private messages.

But, I don't think they know they have that status. They asked for a reply.

Glitch glitch.

Glad to know there is a work-around, in some cases, though!

Yeah, last night it supposedly got fixed, but then it didn't work again. Someone PMed me successfully, and I was able to do so back. Then, a couple minutes later I sent one to someone else and they didn't get it.

I agree with that too. It's like every ad up on top now, it seems.

I guess my PM's must be fine, since I got a nasty one from fflagg ansking me, "Who in the fcuk are you?"...
